Description
Renaissance brewing was established in 2005 when experienced brewers Andy Deuchars and Brian Thiel purchased the lease on the historic Grove Mill in Blenheim. Andy and Brian, both natives of Southern California, had one goal in mind - to produce stunning beers in a region more renowned for the excellence of its wines. We are committed to using local ingredients and are one of the pioneers of craft brewing in New Zealand.

This IPA poured a hazy, orange colour with a creamy, white head. Minimal lacing. Scents include citrus, honey and straw. First swig was crisp, creamy and delicious with flavours of citrus hops, a little grass and tea. Finish is medium bitter with hoppy/tea flavours lingering.

Bottle picked up from Beyond Beer Webshop Hamburg and consumed at home Thursday 27th May 2021 listening to Steve Lamaqs Evening Session on 6 Music and cooking Baked Feta with Cherry Tomatoes. Pours hazy amber with a white head. Soft mouthfeel, bitter, sweet and dry but also malty. Wow this is a great Imperial IPA, furry bitterness, mostly citrus. Good, very good.
