Description
Aloha. That’s how most conversations begin here. It’s also how many of them end. But “Aloha” doesn’t just mean hello and goodbye and love and welcome. It means more than a word can express. It’s a feeling. A way of life. “Aloha” is the idea that we are all connected to everyone and everything around us and that true joy is found in respecting this connection. And it’s in this aloha spirit that the Kona Brewing Company was founded back in 1994 by Cameron Healy and his son Spoon Khalsa. They combined their love of Hawaii and its pristine, natural beauty with their fondness for delicious, local brews, and lucky for us, their dream lives on more than 20 years later.
So try a few of them. And join us in our pursuit of aloha.

Pour is a hazy yellow with a foamy white head. Aroma is sweet grain and a fruityness. Flavor is a bit fruity and some wheat but not much else. Like most have said, not terrible but othing great either. Also kinda pricy at $7.50 a six pack.

Bottled and draft. A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of caramel, but also light notes of coffee. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of coffee, that also gives it a bitterness, combined with light notes of chocolate, for a long lasting and nice finish.

Bottle. Fairly dark amber color... amost brown with a half finger of head on top. Aromas are of caramel malt, pineapple and some citrus hops. Flavor tends to the malty/caramel side of the specturm that is present in the nose... and while the hops are there, they don’t come through crisply. Very nicely balanced, especially given the malt heavy body.

Pour is a hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is kinda corny and malty and nothing else. Flavor is ok for a lager. Quite hoppy for a lager with some sweet malts and grass. Not a bad lager for the masses.

Pour is a amber with a white head. Aroma is a very bready and malty smell. Not much of the hops comes through but still gets you interested. Flavor is some citrus hops with a nice mix of creamy malts. Not a hop bomb by an means but it gets a beer geek interested.

Light malty aroma with a hint of hop. Golden color with a slight copper tinge, and a substantial white head. A bit thin bodied. The start is light malt, a bit sweeter than some lagers, and there is enough bitter in the finish to make this a good experience.

Bottle: Pours a transparent yellow with a small white head that is gone quickly. Nose of tropical fruit and wheat, fairly mild in intensity. Taste is a bland wheaty, watery, citrus flow. Not to thrilled about this one.
