Bruery Terreux®, which loosely translates from French to “earthy bruery”, was developed by Founder Patrick Rue as a space to focus on and explore wild and sour beer fermentation as an extension of The Bruery®.

While brewing history and tradition inform our techniques and process, creativity and experimentation propel our cellar forward to continually develop thought-provoking wild and sour beer of the highest quality.

Bottle at the DCBeer May share. Poured a thin black color with a small amount of ruby hues, wispy head. Big tannic vinus notes, boysenberry, BlackBerry. Sweet, and way too boozy.

Bottle at the DCBeer May share. Sweet, malt, light dragon fruit tart, but not tart enough. Lacking in some acid and some fruity tartness that would be welcome. Disappointing.

Bottle shared at the May 2025 PS tasting, 5/10/25. Hazy orange medium off-white head, good retention. Aroma of funk, leather, salt. Taste is brett, stone fruit, leather, oak, mint. Very dry.

Can. Rather thin body, med carbo. Med-high sourness, but very clean lacto feeling, not much actual wildness here. Triggers my reflux, not my admiration though. Simplistic, not even rosey feeling. Average.

Bottle. Big white head over an unclear pale orange colored body. Fruity aroma, light funk, peppery, some pale malts. Quite light but pleasant mouthfeel, nicely carbonated, dryish. Fruity flavor with pale malts, funk, peppery, herbal. Orange. Lasting finish. Nice, refreshing and tasteful. 250420

Bottle: pours murky brownish with beige head. Aroma is lightly funky, plenty of maltiness, some dark fruitiness. Taste is lightly sour. Dark fruitiness. Fairly sweet.

Bottle, at the March 2025 DCBeer share. Poured a slightly hazy light amber-orange color with a small off-white head. Aroma was cherry skins. Flavor was light tart, light salty notes.
