Bottle. Poured black with a reddish tinge. Thick lasting beige head, much lacing. Aroma of roast malt, with a freshly baked bread and a chocolate note. Medium to light body, malty with some toasted nuts and a bit of coffee. A bit of hop bite in the finish. Light in alcohol enough, and cheap enough to be a session beer.

Bottled. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of sweet and roasted malt as well as chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of chocolate, sweet and roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted finish. Thanks KimJohansen for sharing.

50cl bottle from CM-Vantaa. Pours almost pitch black with a brown head. Aroma is roasted malts and bread. Flavour is chocolate and dark bread all the way, but too dry for my taste.

Draft: Weak vinegar aroma. Hazy rust, medium head. Weak flavor of malt and cherries. Saffron finish. Weak overall and not something I would seek.

bottle, pours gold with a thin white head. Aroma is strong wheat and bannana. Flavor is peach and apple with some wheat notes and a highly carbonated crisp finish of light fruit.

Bottle, 4.3%. Berry-like, caramelly aroma. Almost clear dark golden colour. Very small white head. The flavour is slightly caramelly, mild but rough bitterness. Not wheaty.

Bottle (labeled as Carlow Oharas Irish Stout) thanks to Swalden28. Pours with a black body and a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, grain and raisin. Taste is watery, paper and chocolate. Mouthfeel is watery and not awesome.

Bottle from Utobeer shared with MagicDave. Liquorice stout with a bit of cardboard. Tar on aroma, really bad finish. Like a dead rodent. Poor. 1.8 Re-rate I bought this by mistake at Terre de Boissons, Calais. It’s a lot better than the first time. Still a little liquorice, but better flavours. Must have been a bad bottle last time. I even quite like it. Good choc and coffee and pleasant in mouth, some very mild sour acidity on finish. OK.

BA trade. Pours dark brown, with mocha like head. aroma, roasted malts, chocolate. flavor, lots of good roast, chocolate malts, some coffee, medium carbonation, light mouthfeel, hints of dark fruits and coffee toward the finish. Light, tasty, filled with flavors. As it warmed pup, the chocolate gained a little more presence and a smooth nice roasty finish.
