Super deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish off-white and tan head that fades very quickly and leaves just about nothing on top only a few seconds later. Aroma of lactose, vanilla, cream, oatmeal, malts and some softer molasses and caramelised sugars with only a bit of bitterness here. Medium to full-bodied, but on the lighter side. Strong vanilla and cake-like flavours dominate with a lot of grain and earthiness and a bit of milk and cream here as well, but nothing bitter or pungent at all, fairly subdued and soft with a lot of sweetness and only a touch of grains here. Aftertaste shows the vanilla, cream, icing sugar and big sweetness, but not cloying somehow with a good deal of malts and sugars on the finish. Overall, a great option, especially as a beer for a night cap or to finish off the offerings here at Jagged Mountain. I sampled this twelve ounce pour on draught in a snifter here at Jagged Mountain in downtown Denver, Colorado on 02-February-2022 for US$6.50 sampled here while in town for a nice snowstorm.

Fairly hazy golden and light orange coloured body with a very thin off-white head that fades quickly and leaves a subtle lace on the sides of the glass. Aroma of dry oak, cedar and slight woodsie and rustic characteristics with some floral and grassy notes with a light bit of apricots and peaches for sweetness and a kick of melons near the end - just honeydew though. Light to barely Medium-bodied; Rich dry, oaky and cedary woodsie notes show at first with a dry and slightly fruity side that comes right afterwards and a bit of grain still noticeable at the end with a big floral kick. Aftertaste shows some fruits and especially the melons, which may be pretty obvious, but initially they don't come out so much, so it's sort of a surprise at the end. Overall, a nice and well-balanced, but easily drinkable beer that has some dryness, some fruits and a good kick of oak and cedar notes from the barrel aging that hits nicely here. I sampled this sixteen ounce pour on draught at Jagged Mountain here in Denver, Colorado on 02-February-2022 for US$8,00 sampled while in the city for a nice snowstorm.
