75 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Bert’s Bierhuis. Bottle shared with Rick. Hazy golden with a white head with some yeast specks. Floral aroma. Was expecting a bit more because the Brune was excellent but this one sort of disappointed me. Hoppy aftertaste.

better than expected. take as a base, the normal, oh so common belgian blonde beer, but add some complexity, you get lupulus. kinda even reminded me at de struise somehow, ( wel, being one of their not-waawish beers - wise ) very good indeed !

Bottle 750ml. corked @ PBF2012.Unclear matt medium yellow orange colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lastingg, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate yeasty, fruity, sweet yeast, cookies, butterscotch notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet yeast, fruity, yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120727]

27th May 2012: On tap at the Lupulus brewery’s restaurant, "Les 3 Fourquets"; poured into one of their 25 cl chalices after I’d had two glass of the regular ’Lupulus’. This version is obviously brown in colour: well it’s dark brown with a big off-white head at the brewery. Good mix of flavours in the nose and the tatse: malty and semi-sweet with a hop bitterness never far away, yeast notes also adding to the overall effect. Glad I had one.

27th May 2012: On tap at the Lupulus brewery’s restaurant, "Les 3 Fourquets"; poured into one of their 25 cl chalices. I had two of them during my stay. Light blond/yellow body with a hazy look and a good solid head on top of each glass. Yeasty nose with not much else to report smell wise. The taste was refreshing and yeasty (like the aroma) with a fruity hop feel in the flavour: bitter but with some sweetness giving the beer a pleasant balance. Very different to most Belgian Tripels I’ve encounted but most enjoyable.

Bottled@PBF2012. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is vanilla, spices, alcohol and some slight yeastyness. Flavour is sweet malts, some fruity and floral notes. Quite balanced and nice.
