Bottle in the tasting room at the brewery, on the vineyard and brewery tour, 20/12/22. Reddish amber with a decent lasting beige head. Nose is caramel malts, blood orange, grass, toasted grains. Taste comprises bitter orange, citric tinged straw, toasted grains, more blood orange presence, light pine nip, caramel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close spliced with mellow hop bitterness. Decent enough red IPA.

Bottle from the Offie, Leicester, drunk at home. It is in a clear glass bottle, which is not often a good sign. The beer itself is mid-brown, a little bit translucent, with a little bit of uneven beige/khaki head. Chocolate malt aroma, light coffee grounds, some dried grass. Lots of malt in the taste at first, but this fades to an acrid sourness which stays in the mouth for an eternity. Light body, medium to heavy carbonation. Not a great beer by any standard.
