Hazy orange - amber; just red-amber tinted creamy, slightly irregular head. Nose of cheap pralines fourrées, Belgian chocolates filled with running or soft stuff, partly based on chocolat, sugar, copra, cocosbutter,... and also of chocolate with orange langues de chat which I abhorr. Terrible mix of chocolate (thank God it isn’t white chocolate anymore), fake strawberry filling, orange marmalade and sweetener. With a break into a raw faint-bitter (dry) chocolate finish. Partly sticky, partly light, nearly watery MF. The first time I had this, it was white chocolat heated into some kind of beer. Had I been rating then, it would have received negative marks somehow. Since then, Huyghe seem to have discovered powdered cacao, praise the Lord. Which still makes it an awful concoction.

Slightly hazy amber coloured body with a very thin off-white head. I expected this one to be pitch black, so it is a bit deceiving. Aroma of an unwrapped tootsie roll. Simply stated, this one smells so strong of milk chocolate candy, you cannot discern any other tastes. It smells so sweet I don’t even really want to have a sip. Medium-bodied; Insanely sweet taste that matches the aroma exactly. The sweetness lasts throughout the length of the beer and shows no sign of malt, hops or yeast--just CHOCOLATE! A very crazy beer and one I could drink a LOT less than Cave Creek. This one is pretty bad, but I think it’s only because its way too sweet. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased at Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington, D.C. on 26-November-2004 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
