Draft at Common Table. Pours a murky orange copper with a finger of off-white foam that dissipates quickly. Strong aromas of booze, caramel malt and overripe citrus. Boozy on the palate with slightly oxidized caramel malt flavors. Lingering overripe orange and booze with more toasted caramel. Not for me.

~14 oz willebecher draft at the Peticolas Brewing Company in Dallas, Texas. The pour is brown copper golden with a mostly clear one inch dirty white head that falls with coating lace. The aroma is bitter floral hops, along with general grain. The taste is the grain malt paired with the bright floral bitterness. The palate is light bodied with low carbonation and a bitter and malt brief finish. Decent take on style.

Big alcohol. Rather cloying. Mostly clear garnet with minimal off-white head. A little disjointed.

Keg at Ginger Man, Plano. Cloudy copper colour, mid sized creamy head. Perfumy nose with figs and toast. Mid sweet with full body and dense, packed mouthfeel. Toast and dates, some pine. Resiny very bitter finish. A brutal, straight forward beer. Think Ace of Spades or Jesus Built My Hotrod.

GABF 2015. solid example of a kolsch. It has more flavor than some Koln brewed versions. Grain and malt flavors, simple flavor but it is good.

16 oz draft at the Meddlesome Moth in Dallas, Texas. The pour is hazed golden yellow with minimal white head. The aroma is grain, cracker malt, lightly sweet with some grass. The taste is clean malt flavor, the sweet is managed nicely by the grass in the dry finish. The palate is light bodied with active natural carbonation and the clean dry finish. Quaffable.
