0.5 l bottle. Pours pale yellow body with moderate white head. Great aroma of flowers, citrus, corn and other hops and some malt too. Taste well balanced to be neutral. I would prefer a bit bitter pilsener, but fine. Nice palate, maybe leaving too light and watery impression. Good but not the best.

Cask@GBBF2007. Pale yellow colour, mediumsized white head. Earthy, diacetylic and very salty hints. Flavour is grassy, yeasty, hoppy and quite weird for a pilsener. Yet it’s nice, and refreshing.

From tap. Pours golden yellow, slight hazy and with a white head. Aroma is classic pilsener malt with a corn note. Flavour is soft malty, slight sweet with a good bitterness into the finish. Good brew.

12 oz. bottle (Czechvar). Pour is golden yellow (a bit deeper than a Pale Lager) with a nice white head. Aroma was a touch of skunk initially, which gave way quickly to some nice earthy hoppiness. Spicy, earthy hops are the main component of the taste with a bit of sweet sugar malt in there as well. Finish is crisp and clean. Nice beer.

Clear yellow with a medium sized, lasting head. Grain aroma, with fruit, hay and herbs. Initially rather sweet for a bohemian pilsner, but with with a good, lasting hoppiness that beats most of the competition in the world.
Tank pub in Prague 2008: Malty and sweet ith just the right amount of hops. Pretty much the same rating.

Bottled (as Budweiser Budvar Premium Dark Lager). Clear dark brown, small head. Lightly smokey nose. Light bodied with clean mouthfeel. Fairly dry, somewhat woody and roasty, notes of tobacco. Low-medium bitterness. Quite pleasant.

Green bottle from LCBO. Another one I never realized I havent rated. From memory. A golden pils with a thick white head. Aroma of grains, and unfortunate skunk (why green, guys). In mouth, a fresh grainy malt with green hops, mineral notes, a bit salty. Medium bodied. Not as good as I remembered.

Let’s go to Czechland. Green bottle labeled Czechvar Premium Czech Lager product of the Czech republic. Now, since I am tasting this, I can’t wait to try Bud Super Strong by this same brewer! Contrary to the picture here, this is a green bottle. Pop the lid, and you get a prettystrong cooked vegetable aroma that is from the cabbage variety, intense for a split second. Ubiquitous pale yelolow american beer color and shade. Good medium carbonation greets the tongue even tho there is not any bubbles in the brew. In the glass the aroma is more yeastlike. Mild odd machine metallic (hop?) bitterness builds that leads to a short tight finish. Much more personality compaared to "american buweiser"

35 cl. bouteille. Aroma of spicy/floral hop. Kind of spicy anyway. Orange tinged golden color with a white head that quickly departed. Full bodied. Starts with some biscuity malt, but mostly hop. It’s more maltily flavorful than Urquell, but it’s not quite so crisp. This is good with spicy food. A worthy finish to the evening.
