Julen 2014 Smell- medium strong, malt, bit acidic. Foam-thin, malt, faint Belgian, faint caramel, faint roast. Head is small, light brown white color. Appearance- brewer bottle cap, simple label. Dark ruby color, close to black, clear. No carbonation. From - snifter Taste - malt, faint roast, faint caramel, some Belgian notes. Generally very neutral and drinkable, nothing amazing though. Alcohol is well hidden here. Quite refreshing in a way. After some time it even feels better. Increased the score.

500 ml bottle, bryg # 0416, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 11.0%. Clear deep golden to amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma of oak, red wine, molasses, caramel and dark dried fruits. Warming mouthfeel. Distinct oaky flavour with tannins, appears not quite as sweet as the non-BA version, but the notes of raisins and other dark dried fruits are there, also noticeable bittering hops. Overall a very well balanced and delightful flavour.

500 ml bottle, bryg # 0416, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 11.0%. Beautiful clear deep golden to amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma of molasses, oak and dark dried fruits. Warming mouthfeel. Rich and sweet flavour with the same elements as the aroma, distinct oak, raisins and dates.

500 ml bottle, bryg # 0207, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 10.0%. Dark ruby colour, nearly black. Small beige head. Moderate aroma of molasses, caramel, oak, raisins, dates. Warming mouthfeel. Sweet and rich flavour with the same elements as the aroma, noticeable hops in the finish. Has aged remarkably well.

Bottle at home. 10 year old. The colour is hazy dark bronze with a small off-white head. Aroma of apricots, grains, bread, leather and vanilla. The flavour is similar but with more caramel and some alcohol. Has a soft moutfeel, full-bodied and with a light bitterness. Sweet and malty, rich and well balanced.

Amber, hazy with a minimal white head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel with some fruit sense. Sweet flavor with a sugar, malt, caramel with some alc sense at the end.

Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with a fast disappearing beige head. The aroma has notes of brettanomyces, wood, whiskey, port, and plums. The flavor is sour with notes of of port, brettanomyces, wood, and plums, leading to a tart finish.
