Description
Allagash was founded Rob Tod in 1995. As a brewery, we strive to create some of the best Belgian-style beers in the world. As people, we make sure to enjoy ourselves along the way. Part of that joy comes from constantly pushing the sustainability of our brewing operation and making a positive impact in our community. We buy local ingredients, support local organizations, and volunteer our time and expertise to help our community flourish. Stop by some time, weβd love to show you around.

Aromas are malt and spices. Flavors are similar to nose. Bittersweet. Okay body and carbonation. Kind of basic but not bad.

Keg at Liquid Dreams 2026. Opaque copperngols. Thin foamy white head. Aroma has light candied fruit with yeast and malts. Flavourwise it's bitter with a tangy edge. Underlying malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Slightly chalky. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice but not particularly exciting.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: glossy pale yellow to cardboard brown color with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: herbal to citrusy and slightly piney with some freshly cut grass then a tickle of lemon peel-like character; bready malts
Flavor: blends all the previously mentioned aromas to a fine sweet malty and citrusy quality; finishes slightly piney & citrusy
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness along the tongue but also a light dry note detected
Overall: pretty good Belgian pale ale I believe I could have again.

Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: glossy to stiff yellow color with a finger and a half's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: crushed coriander, floral and grassy hops with a light grapefruity hop spice, light cracker malts
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a fine semi-sweet to bitter quality; finishes crisp floral and dry
Texture: light to medium bodied - maybe a touch closer to light; sessionable; some smoothness but also plenty of dryness on the tongue
Overall: I say a very nice table beer and would love to have again with some swordfish.

Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: dark ruddy red to brown color with a finger's worth of eggshell white foamy head which slid off nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: dark fruits, caramelized sugars, woody spices, sourdough bread, some acidic sour tones and a touch of funk
Flavor: combines the prior noted aromas to a mild sweet to spicy and acidic sort of sour to one finely blended quality; finishes semi-funky to acidic with a subtle vinous tone and a touch of sweet
Texture: medium bodied, great as a sipper; leathery dry on the tongue but a lighter semi-crisp smoothness trying to stroll on the tongue
Overall: I say a nicely done Flemish red I would welcome again.
