Draught Huge dark greige head, shortlived over ruby-shot black beer. Booze, whiskey, Bourbon (yes); raisins, roast, sweet candi, but also ketjap manis; rumbonen. Sweet roast, cookes, gingerbread. Chocolate, mocha. Again rum, vanilla, rumbonen , sweet walnut. Alcoholheat, very slick, oily and viscous. Sticky texture despite good carbonation. Sweet, if quite good Imperial Stout.
Smooth, slightly roasty and sweetish with some barrel notes, bourbon, oak, vanilla, spices, cinnamon, maple and toffee. Quite nice.

Magus, suhkrune, kohvine, röstine, linnaseline, rosinane, šokolaadine. Ok.
Sweetish, intense with vanilla, coffee and maple syrup, some cocoa and soft oiliness. Pretty smooth and balanced.

Intensely malty, woody and oaky with some bready notes, raisins, plums, figs, faint hints of quadrupely yeastiness and sweetness. Quite complex and intense slow sipper.

(Bottle, 0.5l, thanks tiong, at VastActiv, 20250912) The beer poured oily and black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had raisins, prunes, toasted malts and candi sugar. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were toasted malts, candi sugar, vanilla, wood, sweetness, alcohols and bitterness. Aftertaste had alcohols, raisins, wood and bitterness. A confusing blend of wood and alcohols.

Pours black, no real head but minor darkly tanned bubble formation. Scent is roasty, medium mild chocolate (cocoa) and fairly expressive, but not overly specific, BBA. Taste is full. Sweet and thick. loads of maple at the start, assertive chocolate underneath, going hand in hand with the vanilla. Roasted malts support the beer very well. Well made, but not truly exceptionnal in terms of depth or complexity. Fairly balanced - if you like the sweet, roasty pastry style stouts, but not AS creamy, deep and complex as the very best are. Than again, if we're starting to compare with the very best, that should be a tell that this isn't an average beer ;) Alcohol shines trough, quite loud at times but never truly boozy. A very solid offering, but being 2025 this isn't a standout anymore.
