Draught at Stateside, Vancouver
Cloudy light amber color. Papery aroma. Lightly vinous and smokey, with low bitterness.
Original but not impressive.

Hazy deep blond color. Fruity, grapey aroma, light vinegar. The mouthfeel is not exactly sweet, but it’s soft, with low bitterness; you can feel the grapes, but it doesn’t have the kind of kick that other breweries like Montegioco have when making these crossovers.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Arom is very mild citrus. Medium body. For me the flavor is rather mild, but as an "imperialization" it really, really works. Getting a little fruit with some citrus. Heavy duty. Drinks too easy.

Astringent frothy white head, dry. Definitely a steam beer, but I would rather they call it that, rather then a lager. Low bitterness and hops.

Bottle shared at chriso’s pre-Christmas tasting. Label says 8.5%. Pours clear, black-brown with a frothy tan head. The aroma holds tangy dark malts, dark berries, mild cocoa. Light to medium sweet flavor with gooey, ripe and tangy berries, dark fruits, suggestions of something a little buggy and funky, a bit of chocolate, burnt wood, earth. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming and chewy on the finish, a little tannic, with notes of cocoa, roast, charred wood and earth, dried and leathery dark fruits. Pretty good.
