Thnx to Bo and Cindy Pours blonde / orange , big white foam Smells rather sweet , Malty , bit sweet , natural taste . Bit of a faded hop taste . Slightly bitter , bit sweet aftertaste

33 cl. bottle sampled @ Afspanning ’t Waagstuk. Commissioned at Boelens by his friend for his business at the coast according to the server, didn’t take more details because I figured that it would be on RB. Turns out it wasn’t, neat label with a compass design. Hazy peach orange with a small creamy white head. Huge esters in the nose, light peach, quite bitter grass, sharp BE yeast. Slightly boozy with lots of esters in the taste, quite BE, sharp yeast and grass, slightly white sugar sweet with distinct, peach. Easy to drink, touch higher carb. clear. Not bad at all actually, expected far less looking at the name.

Sample @ BAB’14. Dorée, col blanc sporadique. Arôme offre très peu en terme de single malt, voire quasi aucune présence. Note surtout un bouquet très belge aux houblons neutres et nobles. Palais est malté, pâle et caramel avec une once de barrique qui apporte juste un léger réchauffant et qui s’ajoute à un fruité fermenté prononcé. Correcte, mais sans vraiment savoir que on avait devant soit un BA on ne eut quasi pas s’en rendre compte. Décevant, et j’ai peur que cette mode de BA se propage en Belgique avec pas mal de produits ne profitant pas du procédé mais dont le prix, lui, ne manquera pas de décevoir ceux s’attendant à mieux. En l’état cette bière est plus de l’expérimental et de l’amateurisme.

Note: wait, what? Two tokens instead of one, because it has been on a barrel? You didn't see Struise, Alvinne, Dochter van de Korenaar, Den Triest and others pulling off shit like that on the festival, did you? Tsss...
Clear light orange beer, creamy solid white head, little stable, bit adhesive. aroma: overripe fruits, rum, quite some peat, fruity, banana peel, some exotic fruits. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty peated start, fruity, banana peel, sweet and sugary as well, too sweet to be pleasant. Aftertaste: some alcohol, sweet and sugary, banana, little bitter, bread yeast.

Sampled bottle @ Brugs Bier Festival 2014. Clear golden with zero head. Nose is slightly salty (but failing to see much barrel beyond that, Bruichladdich is quite a pronounced whiskey), watery, slightly salty urine smell, slightly sweet, sugar, touch fruit. Taste is faintly bitter upfront, watery, urine, herbs, slight fruit, salty (not getting any peat here & I am trying), touch sweet. Watery, little carbonation to be found. Base beer is pretty weak & this is even weaker, other than faint saltiness I am not getting at all where the Bruichladdich went to & for all I know the saltiness may not even be from the Bruichladdich, how long was this aged & what percentage? I can drink it, I suppose, nothing offensive here or anything, just very weak & bland at best.

Bab 14 Pours blonde / orange , small white head Not much smell . Taste is grainy , bit whiskey , not too much though .

Hazy yellow golden colour. A lot of white foam. Spicy aroma. Nose of honey and herbs, also fruity taste. Light sweet with some bitterness. Easy drinkable.

12/I/14 - 33cl bottle from Limburgs Bierfestival @ home - BB: 15/I/15 (2014-3)

Clear ruby red to rust brown beer, big creamy irregular light beige head, unstable, non adhesive, lots of small chunks floating around. Aroma: caramel, chocolate, red fruits, bit sugary, quite some orange peel, dried fruits, raisins. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, sugary, quite some caramel, ripe banana, coriander, notes of chocolate, bit floral. Aftertaste: bitter hops, floral, orange peel, little spicy, soapy almost, sugar, hint of banana, caramel.

Bottle @ home. Gusher! Hazy yellow to orange color, full sized rough white head. Aroma is lightly malts, lightly herbs, yeast, lightly citrus. Taste lightly malts, some citrus, slightly yeast, decently bitter. Apart from gushing it’s actually quite nice.
