Bottle, courtesy of tderoeck (thanks a lot, Tim), pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, sweet apple juice, and some notes of oxidation. Flavour reveals notes of lightly sweet apples, Belgian yeast, and light notes of cardboard oxidation. This has aged well, though there are definite signs of age. Decent beer, but shows more and more signs of oxidation with each additional sip.

Clear red amber beer, big aery off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit sourish, very spicy, Christmas spices, cinnamon, smells a bit infected. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sourish, spicy, cinnamon, tastes like a very mediocre pumpkin ale, bit sourish, some caramel, bit of mocha. Aftertaste: bit sour, lemony touch, spices, caramel, cooked fruits, bit oxidized.

Clear red brown beer, small creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: bit metallic, malty, dried fruits, some chocolate. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet, caramel, some chocolate, soft roast, little bitter. Aftertaste: sweet, soft roast, caramel, some banana, bitter, malty, nice bitterness, more chocolate. Not bad at all. Or I was just way thirsty… That's another possibility.

Bottle outside copenhell clear yellow aroma is bitter malty flavor is bitter sweet herbal malty and quite dry. Notes of bitter caramel.

330 ml bottle into chalice, best before 2/12/2016. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep gold color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big lemon zest, peach, pear, apple, light banana, pepper, herbal, floral, light clove, candi sugar, bread, and floral/yeast earthiness. Awesome complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon zest, peach, pear, apple, light banana, pepper, herbal, floral, light clove, candi sugar, bread, and floral/yeast earthiness. Moderate earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, peach, pear, apple, light banana, pepper, herbal, floral, light clove, candi sugar, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt flavors; with a crisp malt/yeast flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly prickly mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome tripel style. All around great complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A highly enjoyable offering.

Pours moderately hazy/cloudy reddish brown color with a 1 finger dense light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of raisin, plum, pear, apple, light banana, caramel, toast, candi sugar, brown bread, clove, light pepper, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/earthy yeast and dark/bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of raisin, plum, pear, apple, light banana, caramel, toast, brown bread, candi sugar, clove, light pepper, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of raisin, plum, pear, apple, light banana, caramel, toast, candi sugar, brown bread, clove, light pepper, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of fruity/earthy yeast and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and fairly crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good dubbel. Good complexity and balance of fruity/earthy yeast and dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Bottle from Geers Bit of a gusher ( many of Boelens have this lately, some are even very wild gushing ! ) yet its not a constant thing by them ... Huge white foam over a clear blonde beer . Lucky for me , the foam fades rather fast . Smell is sweet malts, rather simple . Def. overcarbonated . I hope this is not how it should be ... Taste is watery, with a bitter backbone . a bit of dry , tasteless grainy character . Even though I really hope this is not the way its ment to taste, so far I can only conclude that this is an opposite of the quality they usually have ; an overcarbonated, tasteless gusher . First drainpour in a long time ...
