Tap at Shizuoka Beer and Whisky Fair. Dark brown with lace. Nose is oak, caramel, cinnamon, dried persimmons. Nice barrel effect. Sour, with lots of lactic acid, vanilla, whisky notes, cinnamon. Well baalnced. Hides the booze well. Another good one in this line.

330ml bottle. Pours a hazed dull reddish brown, brownish cream-coloured head. Malty nose with mild spice. Smooth palate, nice amber malt, dubbel aspirations with a pleasant sweetness and complimentary sancho spice. Unusual to have a spiciness like this in a Belgian dubbel but it works nicely.

--Sample, thanks oh6gdx! -- Hazy golden, mid sized head. Gingery nose with orange and marzipan. Mid dry with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Yuzu and ginger, grass and marzipan. Mildly warming finish.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours orange tinged gold with a persisting white head. Aroma is floral/fruit with a yeasty accompaniment. Med body. Flavor? I'd have pegged this as Belgian in a blind taste. Definite yeast/spice - though not banana/clove - just in that direction. Dryish. Bitterish. Very, very nice flavor.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours pale bright gold with a significant creamy white head. Aroma with enough floral hop to subjugate the bready malt. Arguably med body. Flavor is dry and moderately bitter. Floral, melon, herb and bready support for flavor - but it's not very bready. Rather refreshing.

(Can) Pours hazy yellow gold with huge fine white head. Pleasant aroma of citrus with hints of barnyard, pepper and earthiness. Light body and well carbonated. Lemon, notes of banana, pepper. No sweetness. Some bitterness in finish. Pleasant enough.
