A small taste @ Remedy, cellar's treasures tasting. Pours clear golden with a medium head. Aroma is bitter malts with some pine. Flavor is bitter malts with pine, citrus, hops. Pretty decent.

I’ve gotta say I’ve slowly become a fan of the Far Yeast Offtrail series as they tend to do a bunch of interesting stuff and the prices are fairly reasonable. It felt like summer today so I decided to drink something that had gotten pushed to the back of my fridge I intended to drink ages ago… Far Yeast Framboise d’été Whiskey BA Stout & Wine BA Strong Ale with raspberries, cacao nibs and cinnamon Deep inky black with a light brown foam and tart raspberry, licorice and cacao aroma. Full bodied with a scratchy carbonation. I don’t get any cinnamon but the raspberry and wine come through then you get the stout and cacao to balance the tartness. Really nice tart raspberry chocolate finish, I’m going to go have the rest of this with some chocolate….

Panda at home, thanks to Ed Danlo, 14/09/23. Black with a khaki head that thins to a swirl and edgeing. Nose is dark malts, oak, spice, herb, dried fruit rinds, charr, burnt toffee. Taste comprises tangy dried fruits, herb, spice, roasted bite, dried red berries, soured fruit rinds, hint of vanilla, trace of yuzu, cacao nibs. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid flavoursome stuff.

Bottle at Takumi, Lot 10, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a murky medium amber colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is toffee caramel malt, light citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a crisp, malt, light sweet toffee, light citrus, light woody hop bitter palate. Not unpleasant.

330ml can at Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy golden orange colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, tropical citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a crisp, fresh, malt, juicy mango passionfruit, tart grapefruit, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
