Description
Since our inception on a commercial scale in 2008 we have evolved as a brewery immeasurably.
The Brewery has moved up several gears in the past 12 months & is now growing at an alarming rate!

We as a team have grown with the brewery. Started in 2008 with Directors James Farran, Andy Baker & Meyrick Kirk the brewery now has a fulltime drayman, a head brewer, a managing director & soon to be further additions to the team.

We are a brewery with an extreme passion & a strong identity, our beers are unapologetically flavour forward in nature, hop & malt laden beers that challenge today's modern beer lover. Beers with heart, soul & raging personality.

In the coming years we plan to continue to grow by fervently pushing the boundaries of what is possible when brewing beer, to excite you the deserving beer connoisseur who should settle for nothing less than than beers that excite & ensare your senses. We invest heavily in our beers with LOTS of the very best ingredients, why settle for beers that don't?

Bottle from Summer Wine Brewery Online Store. It pours hazy amber, with a decent yellow-white head. The nose is watermelon, papaya, berry, olive oil and gruyere cheese. The taste is pine, grass, resin, blood orange, tangerine, papaya, metal, with a massive bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. The bitterness is quite aggressive indeed! As usual this is a flavoursome beer from SW, but not their most drinkable.

Bottle from Summer Wines Online Store. It pours pretty much black, with a thin tan head. The nose is smoke, dark fruit, berry, varnish, roasted malt and rich coffee. The taste is roasted malt, coffee, toast, tar, spice, citrus pith, resin, liquorice, umami aspect, smoke and bitter chocolate, with a long bitter-dry finish. Some lingering warmth. Medium-full body, moderate carbonation and slightly oily mouth-feel. Good depth of flavour and balance. Yet another great beer from SW.

Bottle from SW Online Store. It pours hazy deep amber, with a thin bubbly white head. The nose is citrus pith, grapefruit, kiwi, mango, resin and pine. The taste is pine, resin, citrus pith and zest, aggressive bitterness, alcohol warmth, leaf and raw hop, with a long, very bitter-dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation. Damn thatโ€™s bitter! Flavoursome, but not overly drinkable.

Cask at CBC, London. Pours clear yellow with a fine, white foam head. Dry straw, light citrus and hay aroma. Medium sweet flavor with restrained punch, and notes of lemon, lemonade, dry grass, straw, light pee and grapefruit. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sweet finish with well-cooked hay, some modest minerals, sun-kissed grass and lemon. A very solid golden ale. I could session this big time. Big time.

Craft. Hazy amber beer, tidy white head. Crisp palate, semi dry. Minerally malt cream gives way to fresh ping and yellow grapefruit hops, fairly bitter. Orange marmalade and bitter pine brings up the rear. Crisp semi dry finish, good bitter linger. Moorish! 36

Good creamy malt base, trace of caramel. Complex bitter hops - bitter orange marmalade but with sweet orange entwined! Trace of sweet pineapple and bitter pine. Smooth soft finish. Good bitter linger. Very nice red IPA.

Keg at CBC, London. Pours a lightly cloudy ruby with a strong, white foam head. Nose of pine, berries and grass. Sweet, toasty malts kick things right off in the flavor, with notes of caramel and berries, then thereโ€™s moderate piney bitterness with lighter grass, earth and ripe citrus. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sticky finish with plenty of juicy, ripe citrus hops and toasted sugar, along with chewy pine and light caramel. Very solid beer.

Draught @ Craft Beer Co.

Pours reddish orange with a smooth foamy head. Fresh aroma of fruits and berries with notes of caramel, lemon and citrus. Taste is quite fruity with hops and a lot of berries. Hints of malts and lemon as well. Finish is fruity with some bitterness and lemony notes. Nice, surprisingly fruity IPA.

Bottle at the Beer, Bocce and Boozer Tasting, London. Thanks to Paul for this bottle. Pours hazy, yellow gold with a fine, white foam head. Bit of lime in the nose, yeah, with hay and soft grass. Light to medium sweet flavor with some bitter straw, subtle lime, crunchy grains. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Some bitter and crispy straw to finish, more hay, grainy malts, light lime and sun-kissed grass. Nice. Lime character is well integrated.
