Amber, bright. Not mich head. Aroma is full of clove and ginger. Clean kettle sour, light chile, heavy on the spice. Pia is a bit lost, so it's really not something with any meaningful connection to tepache. It's not bad for a spiced sour, despite how assertive some of the spices are, but yeah, nothing tepache or Mexican here. Land acknowledgement on the outside of the can, cultural appropriation on the inside.

Pours very dark brown with foamy tan head. Aroma malt, coffee, and a bit of caramel. Flavour burnt caramel, malt, and dark chocolate. Some boozy warmth on the finish and lingering butterness. Mouthfeel quite smooth with light carbonation. Very nice

473 ml can. 9.5% on the label. Pours black with full tan head. Aromas of nutty chocolate, a bit of plastic, creamy coffee, and roasted malts. Flavors of woody roasted malts, dry dark chocolate and creamy black coffee. Dry finish. Nailing the style without too much coffee.

473mL can, pours jet black with a large tan head. Nose is full of big roasted malt, some espresso, dry cocoa, and even a good piney hop punch. Flavour is bold, with deep roasted malt, espresso, dry cocoa and big piney hops to boot. Surprisingly bold, clean and well-structured, a la Old Rasputin. Excellent classic RIS.

Black, lasting tan head. Light raspberry nose. Pleasant berry palate with decent roast profile and medium bitterness in finish.

473 ml can. Pours amber with tons of carbonation and huge head. Aromas of grass, dank hops, a bit of citrus and doughy malts. Flavors of waxy lemon, spicy resin, bitter dank hops and bready malts. Sharp bitter finish.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver; 7.3% ABV
Pale blond, hazy, overcarbonated, with very large frothy head. The aroma is fruity, fresh grapes, tropical fruit (passionfruit, guava...). The mouthfeel is dry and highly carbonated; bready malt base, better than the average Hazy; bold bitterness, orange peel, lemon peel, grapefruit, touch of tropical.
I have the feeling that there has been a refermentation in the can, which introduced more carbonation, and Bretty bitterness; but overall the result seems even superior to what it could have been.
