On tap at VCBW Festival 2017, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a medium white head. Aroma brings out dank piney hops out front, with pith, citrus and biscuity malt to back. Flavour is very pithy and dank, with dank hops, some pine, pithy notes and dry biscuity malt. Lots of character, with nothing subtle about it. Dank, pot-like finish, a bit abrasive. Very good.

On tap at VCBW Festival 2017, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out considerable tropical fruitiness and dank piney hops. Flavour is fairly harsh, with tropical fruity pithiness and dank hops. Fairly abrasive and astringent, but it works decently well. Not bad.

On tap at VCBW Festival 2017, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out straw and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is extremely dry, with straw, biscuity malt and a dry hoppy astringency. Little bite, yet definitely pils-like. It's decent.

2021-04-08, can from the brewery via Brian, 5-3-5-2-10=25
Blond colour, maybe a bit dull; clean. Smells of corn. Flat flavour, nothing special about the malt, even less about the hops; the bitterness is on the low side. This was from the brewery, so it's expected to be fresh. I wouldn't be so sure that this expensive can is so much better than some macro stuff.
2017-05-28, draught at Doan's, Vancouver, 6-3-7-3-13=32
Cloudy pale blond color. Mild aroma of grassy hops and wheat bread. Crisp malt base with wheat bread character, some grassy hop, a bit too much pithy bitterness in the final.
Rustic Pilsner, worth working on it.

Can from Legacy. Cloudy and light tan. The nose has some nice hop, but also some diacetyl. On the palate, moderate bitterness, some light citrusy hop. Not much diacetyl on the palate, so less than the aroma. But there is something a little bit muted about this beer - whether it’s that touch of butter or just a general want for brightness, it’s a beer that feels like it could and should be better. New brewery, obviously their first go at canning, so I’m sure I’ll re-rate this on tap at the brewery, which might make a difference.
re rate knocked a point off the appearance and that’s it.
