Ruby color, with a thin brownish head. Aroma is a mix of raspberry with chocolat malt and caramel. I wish the rapsberry was a little more present than the chocolat. I am happy to notice the use of real raspberries instead of a bad extract.

A clear brown ale with a thick off white head. A striking raspberry aroma with light chocolate notes. In mouth, roasted malt with an astringent raspberry pulp, very oily. Medium bodied. Bieropholie import. December 2006.

Pour is a brown with a little red to it and a nice big tan head. Aroma is deffinatly raspberries. Big and fresh but not much else. Flavor is first the raspberry and then you get a slight chocolate on the tounge after the swallow. Kind of an odd beer and something i wanted to hate before I had it but it turned out to be ok. Now why they put this in a 22oz is beyond me. About 12oz is all you can handle of this.

Bottle: Light citrus colored pour with a large white head and plenty of bubbles. Aroma is bright and fruity. Clearly a heavy citrus presence. Taste is citrus and tangerine filled with a bit of seltzer and some light grassey bits. Small evidence of wheat in the tail.

Imperial Pint draft at Llywelyn’s Pub in Overland Park, KS. Pour is clearish golden yellow with a very small white head. This looked very Pale lagerish in the glass. Not bad looking, just not what I expected from a Wit. Aroma is some citrus (orange and lemon), citrus peel, yeast and some ever so slight funkiness. Taste is quite bland, the elements of the nose are present, though very much in the background. The base beer itself tasted much more like a Pale Ale or Pale Lager even then a Wheat beer. As mentioned, the citrus, spice and yeast appear in the taste, but pretty far in the background. Overall, this beer was decent with food, but seemed like a bit of a cop out for the style.

Bomber. Aromas of tangerine and wheat. Hazy gold color with a decent white head. Rather thin bodied with mild creamy carbonation. Flavor is tangerine and wheat. A little bitter builds along to the finish, but not much. I think most of it is citrus peel. Weird, different, ok once in awhile.

Bomber from Country Club Liquors; Nose of sweet tangerines and weak floral hops in the background; lightly hazy darker orange-tinged gold with a medium light beige head; flavor has minor hop bitterness, and tangerine; finish very lightly bitter. Less tangerine would be better but it is not near as bad as AB Tilt, at least it has reasonable hops.

Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Cloudy reddish amber, small creamy head. Grapefruity nose where resin already comes through. Sweet with bold straightforward mouthfeel and solid body. The bitterness strikes hard and early, and reaches punishing levels. Meanwhile there’s notes of mango and cookies. A typical American macho beer with punk attitude.

(Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 17 June 2008) Amber colour, hazy, with beige head. Fruity, hoppy nose with dried fruit, resin, grapefruit and orange peel. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, orange peel, dried apricots, resin, pine needles and toffee. Well balanced bitterness, fairly sweet, chewy mouthfeel. Nice one.

On tap at OTH. I want to love this beer. The smell is great, filled with orange/tangerine, really fresh smell. Light wheat with light golden color. It is very unfortunate that the taste is just too artificial. It reminds me of orange bubble gum. Smooth and refreshing. Would not mind trying it again.
