On Tap at the Oldsmar Tap House. Pours gold-ish orange-ish yellow with some haze and with soapy head. The aroma is just about nothing but fruitiness. It smells like tangerine flavored sweet/tart candy. I really can’t get much else going on in the nose. The taste luckily is not as candy sweet/tart sweet as the aroma. There is a pretty big tangerine candy element but I can also pick up some malt and wheat in the background adding some semblance of balance to the flavor. Interesting product.

Dark brown. Big raspberry aroma, maybe some toast but not much else. Very chocolatey palate, nicely balanced by raspberry with a hint of fudge in the finish.

@Sarasota Brewing-on tap-pours a thin tan head that laces and black color. Aroma is rich dark malt/oats-molasses/cocoa. Taste is rich dark malt/oats-molasses/cocoa, slight hops bite. Full body. Nice for a style that’s not usually one of mine.

Clear deep brown body with ruby highlights and a medium creamy tan head. Sweet roasted malt, chocolate and nuttiness with a bit of floral hops. Chocolate and roasted malt flavor with more nuttiness, dry earthy hop flavor in the finish. Medium light body with moderate carbonation.

Draught. Poured deep dark brown with thin tan head. Slight but pleasant aroma of chocolate and roast. Increased aroma as beer warmed. Chocolate and expresso notes in flavour. Light sweet chocolate finish that departed quickly. Not truly great, but not bad either.

Pours with a small, foamy, brown head covering a near black body. Aroma of toasted and roasted coffee malts, bitter sweet chocolate and some lightly spicey hops. Taste is very much dry coffee, nothing else, not too sweet or bitter. Syrupy mouthfeel, low levels of carbonation.

Sample at Alan’s HSC initation. Bottle from Howard’s Market in Tehachapi, CA. This brew is a clear yellow-gold color with a thin white head that diminishes quickly. Spots of lacing. Odd aroma of malt and vegetables at first, but it dissipates into a mild spice pretty fast. Light-bodied with a flavor akin to a Pale Lager. Light hops and spice flavor with a bit of citrus. The finish is mildly spiced with a short citrus aftertaste. Barely average overall.

Sample at Alan’s HSC initation. Bottle from Park Lane Liquor in Lancaster, CA. This beer pours a hazy orange color with a medium thin and foamy off-white head that dissipates steadily. Spotty lacing that doesn’t stick. Hoppy aroma with lots of grapefruit. Medium-bodied and bitter with borderline astringent hops. Some citrus and malt as well but it is overpowered by the bitterness. The finish is citrusy hops with a lingering bitterness. Kind of unbalanced overall, and just average on the whole.
