This beer came in my beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a reddish-amber color with a medium sized orange-white head. The aroma was sweet, malty and a bit vegetal with a fairly strong fruity and floral hop element. The flavor was sweet and malty though again a bit vegetal with a spritzy fruity hop presence.

Draft @ Redlight. Slightly cloudy golden color. Piney grapefruit hops and clean bready malts, both in nose and flavor. Medium bitterness, light finish overall.

I know I had this a year or two back, but I never rated it so I picked up another bottle. I was not disappointed. This was a very solid brown ale. Nutty malts, roasted malts, creamy.

12 oz. screw-top bottle. I pop the cap and get a whiff of a nice, big malty nut brown ale. Pours a seriously deep brown color, close to a porter, under a brown eggshell, foamy head. Solid nutty malt taste, slightly roasty with a note of light coffee and dark toffee creams. A good supporting backup by the hops: just enough to keep the beer from being sweet. If this came a nitro pull instead of the standard bottle carbonation, it’s be a great session beer.

This beer came to me in my beer club. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy yellow color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was faint, dry and musty. The flavor was dry and musty with a touch of cardboard and only a vague light fruity element - no spice. Rather uninspired.

12 oz. bottle. Aims for, and mostly hits, the Guinness version of a stout. Dark reddish-brown pour becomes black in the glass, with slightly frothy brown foam. Smell shows a trace of sourness. Taste brings out well roasted malts, which have a little bitterness. Dry and again a little sour, like perhaps a trace of cherry. Noticably more hoppy than yer basic stout, though. Finishes slightly smoky, almost like chipotle peppers.

Bottle. Cloudy orange/copper color. Head is slightly off-white. Aroma is very floral and quite hoppy. Taste is indeed quite hoppy, to the point where the flavor exceeded even my expectations. It’s quite a solid IPA.

Aroma of dark roasted malt and perhaps some chocolate. Dark mahogany color with a tan head that just flattened. Near medium body with sharp, but mild, carbonation. The flavor is near toasted malt, with something like cola, and again, maybe, chocolate. The finish is roughly sweet, with some bitter to balance. The sweet goes, the bitter stays. Coffee seems to be present. Relatively smooth as brown ales often go.

Light copper, tan head....real appeasing malt aroma, yummy and sweet, its quite pleasing to the nasal senses...I could smell it all day, or at least until its consumed....very good flavor...malted more than anything, but the citrus is placed well in the malts...medium body....the finish is abrupt and very clean

Courtesy of SoLan. Pours a clear dark brown with amber edges and weak tan head. It has a mild aroma that comes off sweet with caramelized malts and vague fruitiness. The flavor is sweet with mildly caramelized malts, mild nuttiness and maybe faint burnt malts. It ends sweet and slightly roasty.
