Black body with dark brown head. Roasty, chocolatey aroma. Long, roasty, toasty palate. Very rich, hoppy, enjoyable stout that reminds me of St. Ambroise.

A creamy head started this out over a nice brown beer. The aroma was a light malt, with not enough back up in the flavor department. Good, but not great.

Starts with a nice head of average size that is just a tiny bit past white in color. The head left a nice lacing as it slipped into the hazy amber beer below. The malt sweetness is well balanced with a light bitterness that ends dry making this a drinkable beer.

Cloudy yellow with a large creamy that that left a fine lace behind on the glass. Light citrusy aroma. Very reserved wheat and spice flavor. Very timid, needs more assertion.

Cloudy amber in color, with a most impressive lacework - hoppy, piney aroma, with hints of spices, like nutmeg and cinnamon - the mouthfeel is thick, almost chewy - the hops aren't as explosive as other west coast IPAs, but does it really matter? Of course not, because this beer tastes great - huge malt presence, touches of caramel - herbs and tea - spicy finish, with a crisp hoppiness that kind of clips the chewy, maltiness right off the tongue, leaving nothing but bitterness behind - excellent stuff.

Pours a quite dark reddish copper and a modest head that lingers a bit. Lacing stubbornly is still at the top of the glass though it is half emptly now. Very strong distinct rich hoppiness that is a bit too much for me but an excellent example of the genre. A manley beer that will really put lead in your pencil

This is a respectable West Coast IPA. Lots of hops in the nose and on the palate.It is smooth, crisp and dry going over the tongue and the malt is well balanced throughout. I'll have another!
