Bottle pours a deep brown/amber with a fizy off-white head that settles down in a hurry leaving very little lacing.. Aroma is of deep roasted malts right up front and some hops that are trying to peek through. Flafor is quite sweet, and bready or biscuity. The hops a barely a player here, as the malts and sweet flavor is dominant. Feel is nothing special. After taste is a slight hopy/woody taste.

This is a lot like their alleycat amber ale - same fruitiness - similar malt characteristics - this doesn’t have any of the nuttiness I’ve come to expect from brown ales, which doesn’t have to be a bad thing, it just makes this seem much less like a brown ale - its similarity to other lost coast beers makes it less stand out, but that "lost coast" taste is a GOOD taste, so I can’t really complain.

Interesting aroma of caramel and hops, the combination works surprisingly well - quite sweet up front, with lots of light fruits (cherries, strawberry), that combine with light grain and a slight hoppiness, giving this, at times, a flavor that is almost like a childrens’ breakfast cereal - slighty crisp, dry hop finish - smooth, medium bodied - not bad at all.

Dark clear brown ale with a fruity molasse aroma with hops. Very nutty tatse with chocoalte moka overtones and a sweet finish. A bit cloying in the end. Rich body.

Bottle Pours an opaque black with a thin tan head and very slight lacing. Aroma is typical stout, molassas, dark chocolate, prunes, grapes, slight coffee. Taste is mostly the coffee and burnt wood and dark chocolate. None of the fruit smells come through here. Finishes with an ash or charcoal aftertaste. Feel is a bit thin and lacking some of that full thick heavy feel of my favorite stouts. The oatmeal used does make for a smooth slick feel though. I don't detect the hops that are n the commercial description. Decent stout.

Pretty deep red color, large creamy beige head. Fresh hop aroma, citrusy (orange, grapefruit) and a bit of resin. Well balanced with full toasty caramels, resiny hop oils infuse it all, and a solid hop smack in the finish puts an exclamation point on it all. Light touches of smoke and earth linger. Body is light but not weak, making this very drinkable. A top IPA.

Well, with this beer being so high overall, I’m surprised I didn’t find it more appealing (especially since I am a huge fan of IPAs). Nice, great appearance. Dark amber with a great head. Tastes a bit coppery and only a bit hoppy. I’ve definitely had better IPAs.

Hey- is this the same beer I just tried as "Pelican Tsunami Stout?" Ok...maybe not. Poured very dark brown-black with a thin light brown head. Lots of licorice in the aroma with some roasted malts. This stout has a relatively thick body, with licorice, coffee, and roast dominating the flavor profile. Relatively sweet and creamy-bodied. Another top-notch stout.

This was a fairly unusual witbier. Poured cloudy yellow-orange with plenty of dark "floaties" and milky yeast particles. The flavor was quite yeasty as well, with a spicy phenol dominance that counteracted tart, lemony flavors and tangy wheat. Nicely vinous. I also noted plenty of spices, with a hint of copper (perhaps from the yeasts?).

Not a bad fruit beer- poured a very deep, clear red-brown with a thin light tan head. Raspberry syrup aroma with some toasty malt. The flavor reminded me of Brach’s chocolate-covered raspberry nougats, with plenty of raspberry flavor (which was pleasant) not quite balanced by toasty, chocolatey malts. Not bad, but where’s the beer?
