Smells of big sweet mint and chocolate like all those candies your grandmother forced you to eat at her house during the holidays. Has a kind of watery black body and minimal foam. Flavour is big overbearing mint, it kicks in while the chocolate takes a back seat. I can dig some mint but this is all just too much mint. Mouthfeel is kind of watery, for a beer like this it should be full and sweet. It's not necessarily a bad idea but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.

Smells of soft earthy barley, has a good black body with very minimal beige head on top. Flavour is soft sharp barley, vague notes of what might be squid ink. Mouthfeel is full enough with some dryness. This is sadly a little too weak and boring, it's all just melding together.

The aroma is soft salt and grain with some citrus sweetness. Has an okay lighter yellow body and a bit of white foam. Flavour is tart and salty citrus, lemon notes, no idea where the squid ink is. Mouthfeel is crisp and full at least. This is not a half bad gose, on the salty side as they should be.

Dark brown with an overactive head. Fairly chocolatey on the nose. Moderate bitterness. Well balanced. Light coffee, which lends just a touch of acidity as well.

Amber, small beige head. Burst of hops that don't seem to mesh with the overall beer. Unblended, and unpleasant with diacetyl notes…. AVOID this drain pour...4-3-4-1-8 May 2022 Newer Version much better. Diacetyl is gone, light malt sweetness with mild hop finish... seems more of a standard bitter than an ESB

Aroma is soft brown sugar and nothing else. Has a mellow darker brown body and just a little foam. Flavour is heavy alcoholic brown sugar with molasses notes. Mouthfeel is rather overbearing and big on the dark sugar side. It's not bad, but boozy with lots of sugar and no finesse.

Aroma is okay soft lager notes with some sugar thrown in. Has modest yellow body and minimal head. Flavour is dry grains of some sort, not complex but serviceable. Reasonably crisp finish. It's an okay lager, some unique notes though not too exciting.

Aroma is soft chocolatey grains. Has a nice black body with just a hint of head. Flavour is okay soft barley with no complexity. Mouthfeel is a little weak, could be fuller. It's not bad but needs more to be exciting.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma is cinnamon and roasted barley, a Christmasy mix for sure though seemingly in a subtle way. Has okay blackness on the body with some modest head. Flavour is a big Christmas cinnamon vibe and some sweet barley to balance it out. Mouthfeel is mellow but sugary. It's not bad, very Christmasy but a little cloying.

Aroma is modest hints of hop orange, has an okay clear medium copper body and just a bit of head. Flavour is odd fusel alcohol with sugar and hints of brown sugar. Mouthfeel is medium but leaning toward kind of weak. It's simply okay and nowhere near the ESB style it purports.
