Draft - Sweet, fruity Belgian esters and some grass. Clearish yellow gold with a decent white head. Sweet and fruity Belgian yeasts, a bit of a dirty peppery note that is particular to this yeast

On tap at Tangent Cafe, pours a clear yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out wheaty tartness and subtle dry hopping. Flavour is bland, with tart wheat and a little hoppiness. Not complex at all, but clean and subtle. Okay but missing something.

On tap at Tangent Cafe, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma reveals notes of piney hops, some herbal notes, and some astringent notes. Flavour is along the same lines, with fruity piney hops and a dry biscuity malt backbone. Not very interesting for an IPA, but it's clean. Needs more oomph.

On tap at Tangent Cafe, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out citrus tang and Belgian yeast. Flavour is clean and restrained, with Belgian yeast and citrus tang again. Very simple but clean. Meh.

On tap at Tangent Cafe, pours a clear dull yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out light grassiness and a touch of straw. Flavour is clean, with restrained grassy hops and biscuity malt. Very restrained even for a pilsner, but it's clean. Not bad.

Draught at Tangent Café, Vancouver, 12 oz
Hazy dark blond color, small head. Very nice aroma, a bit sour, a bit citrusy, some elderflower. Dry, moderately sour, moderately lemony, quite astringent, with a mild woody finish, lightly flowery; as a friend said, an introductory sour.
Refreshing, uncomplicated.

Draught at Tangent Café, Vancouver
Hazy blond, paleish. Unpleasant aroma of American Saison yeast, spicy but loaded with vegetables. The mouthfeel is rather dry, tastes like spices and plastic, drier in the end.
I have little patience left for these uneducated attempts at brewing a Belgian style.

Draught at Tangent Café, Vancouver, as West Coast IPA, 12oz
Hazy light amber color with small compact head. The aroma is mild, the flavor is bolder; the malt base is somehow nice but simple; the hopping is zesty and contributes more; correct bitterness.
Balanced, clean, simplistic and undaring though.

2018-05-31, draught at St. Augustine's, Vancouver, 5.5% ABV, 5-3-6-3-12=29
Hazy blond colour. Some smell of wet paper and puke; the malt flavour is a bit better, the hopping is timid but with light grassy touch.
Decent Pilsner.
2015-08-26, draught at Tangent Café, Vancouver, as Czech Pilsner, 6% ABV, 12oz, 6-3-5-2-12=28
Blond color, small head. The aroma is inviting, some cereally malts with a grass hint. But the mouthfeel is almost mellow, and the malt doesn't have the necessary crisp qualities, nor the hops are grassy enough; correct bitterness.
Not bad, correctly brewed, but a bit boring.
The flavor is virtually indistinguishable from many macro German Lagers.
