473 ml can. Pours amber with light head. Aromas of fruity esters, dull citrus, and bready malts. Flavor of same. Not bad, but pretty subdued overall with malts having a big presence and not really letting the hops and yeast shine.

Gold, dense white head. Light tropical nose. Palate of harsh alcohol heat and bitterness from that and hops.. Fruity notes killed by the alcohol

473mL can, pours a hazy blonde with a medium white head. Nose has plenty of piney hops, a touch of woodiness, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour has a nice woody piney hop character, dusty biscuity malt, and a touch of bitter citrus. Finishes piney, moderately bitter, and a bit husky on the malt. Nicely balanced and constructed.

Pale with a bit of haze. Thin head. Bright and weedy hop aroma. Good bitterness, dank limonene good shit. Clean pale malts...they're a touch sweet which means not quite enough bittering happened here...no Chinook in the kettle, which was an oversight. But still, solid IPA.

I don't normally buy Belgian-style ales from breweries that don't specialize in them, but this is the Tony Dewald tribute beer. Golden colour, and it drops bright. It's got a fruity aroma. On the palate, sticky pale malts, low bitterness. Some fruitiness, also some plastic accents. It's relatively clean, but I'd prefer the accents were more on the tree fruit esters than the plastic phenols...just a slightly lower fermentation temperature probably. A touch more bitterness would be advisable, too, especially if coming from one of those mellow continental varietals.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver, tagged 10/15/24, 1 month old
Blond colour, cloudy, with small head. Decent hop aroma, just some undescribed fruit. The mouthfeel is lean, weak, there's barely any flavour from the grains, just some wheat; it also has strong mineral character, a bit salty; it says 18 IBU on the can, and indeed the bitterness is absent; and there's more alcohol perception than the ABV suggests; not bright, no freshness.
Modest.
