473ml can. Pours a clear amber with a medium, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves curtains of lace. Aroma of caramel malt and weedy hops. Sweet flavour of caramel malt and light piney hops in a crisp, dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Boring and disappointing. More of an ESB than an APA.

473ml can. Pours an opaque dark brown, almost black with a slight amber hue and a medium, creamy, long lasting, tan head that leaves curtains of lace. Aroma of roasted malt, espresso, dark chocolate and earth. Sweet flavour of lightly roasted malt, caramel and milk chocolate in a dry, mild bitter espresso finish. Light body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. A bit thin for the style, but still tasty.473ml can. I grabbed a can of this in Gibsons. Pale colour, hazy. Some head. Gentle hops are toasty, which is unexpected given that they are El Dorado and Sabro. So not the pick of the crop, huh. The malt base is thick, creamy.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Pale yellow colour, cloudy to murky. The aroma is very fruity (tropical, a bit floral). Dry mouthfeel, almost crisp, with minimal oats and cream; good hop character, fruity, tropical fruit and sweet citrus, the bitterness is on the low side, but the warming alcohol supports the balance.
Very good.
