Amburon Belgian Craftbrewery NV was founded in early 2016 by Davy Daniëls in partnership with Carlo De Baere and Jan Jacobs. The brewhall was opened in August 2016. Amburon Belgian Craftbrewery aims for distinction through innovation that is rooted in the Belgian beer tradition. In keeping with this tradition we aim for balanced and accessible beers with a pure taste – sometimes with something a little different.

Pours rather unclear blonde, small white head. Smell is not fresh at all. To much malty notes, yeasty, not very natural. No hops at all. Taste is full, mild bitterness. Hidden hoparoma. Very yeasty. Some malts as well. Not nearly enough hops to be called IPA. Can’t we just make an agreement about not calling stuff like this an IPA , Belgian brewers ? That’d be great...

Clear medium golden colour, good two finger soapy white head, fairly lasting, good lacing. Aroma malts, banana, pear, melon, yeast, floral hops. Taste light heavy sweet and light bitter, malty, light lemon, bit estery, spicy notes. Sweetbitter aftertaste, light malty, banana, spicy notes, medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, solid blond ale.

Fruity nose. Slightly unclear pale golden, tall frothy white head, good retention, good lacing. Aroma pale malts, light lemon, peach, apricot, grass. Fruity taste, medium sweet and bitter, light banana, lemon, peach, herbal notes. Sweetbitter aftertaste, fruity notes, mild hop character, medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, very nice.

Clear blond Body. White frothy head. Intense aroma of caramel, flowers with distinct touches from alcohol. Heavily bitter, moderately sweet. Quite interesting.

F: thin, pink, quick gone. C: dark red, hazy. A: forest fruits, blackberries, a bit of red berries. T: forest fruits, sour raspberries, blackberries, hint of lemon, woody, dry on the palate, better than raspberries version for me, medium body, medium carbonation, enjoyed, thanks to tderoeck and kraddel for sharing beers today!
