Pours unclear blonde, small white head with good stability. Smell is esthers, chardonnay, both at medium-high intensity. Oak at a much higher level. Taste is full, sharp, chardonnay, tad bitter, some esthers, unexpectingly, this really does work !

Pours medium-unclear, darker amber, to lightly brown. Small white head. Medium-low stability. Smell is buttery bourbon, Mild oak notes. Not much left of the basebeer. Taste is a tad bitter, high on the bourbon-whiskey notes. even a tad boozy - especially for an 8.5 %- high carbo over a medium body.

21/XI/17 - on tap @ Horeca Expo (Ghent) - BB: n/a (2017-1923) Thanks to the brewers for today's samples and my Ghent beer posse for sharing the glasses and keeping my liver sane. :p
Clear dark brown beer, big creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: malty, grains, some caramel, spicy, cloves. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, roasted, very spicy, cloves, some star anise and liquorish. Aftertaste: bitter, roasted, bit malty, some caramel, metallic touch, lots of spices, mainly liquorish. I'm not a fan of liquorish, but it's still a decent beer IMHO.

Hazy golden with little white head. Aroma is pine cone slight sweet tropic fruit. No grapefruit. Some honey and toast. Taste is sweet honey with some bitter hops. Medium drinkable. Not overdone. Could be smoother but ok. Good. I somehow expected nonsense. The label didn't lie after all.
