Founded by partners in life and work, Charles Porter and Brenda Crow, Little Beast is a family brewery with a passion for making great beer and sharing it with others.
We craft wild, wood-aged and blended beer naturally with diverse cultures, including Saccharomyces, Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus, and wild flora. By harnessing the little beasts that ferment our beer, we capture their untamed beauty and produce farmhouse beers that are diverse in flavor and rare in character.

On tap at Little Beast, pours a deep dark mahogany with a tiny head. Nose brings out deep dark cherry notes, with gentle Belgian yeast. Flavour reveals intense dark red cherries upfront, with light Belgian yeast, alcohol, and moderate tartness. The montmorency cherries are nicely situated and offer a great depth. Very good.

On tap at Little Beast, pours a cloudy bright reddish pink with a small white head. Aroma brings out leather, horse blanket, and wonderfully fresh, musty cherries. Flavour is damn close to an authentic Belgian kriek lambic, with tart, juicy, dry cherries, barnyard funk, and horse blanket. Wonderful interplay between the fruit and souring bacteria. Lovely.

On tap at Little Beast, pours a cloudy dull golden with a medium white head. Aroma is very musty and earthy, with lots of feet-like brett, rustic saison yeast, and some cereal graininess. Flavour is along the same lines, with tons of musty brett, farmhouse notes, and just a hint of residual sweetness. Despite the strange mustiness, it's very pleasant. Good stuff.

On tap at Little Beast, pours a cloudy bright hot pink with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of Pinot Noir grape, tart cherries (even though there aren't any here), with a touch of coriander. Flavour is loaded with fresh cherries upfront, with red grapes, and moderate tartness. Fruit-dominated and funky. This is lovely.

Good looking beer clear gold body with white head. Aroma was hay and pepper. Peppery taste, didn't taste much like a pilsner to me. Quick finish.

Hazy, dull amber. Just a thin head. It has a bit of wood, Soft body. Has a bit of balsamic. Has a light body. Not all that complex…not coming together. So they attempted this style, didn’t miss completely.

Tasting at Oakes' Manor, bottle
Cloudy amber colour. Earthy and chalky and dirty beer, with almost no acidity; defined as Red Sour, it's nothing like that, but also nothing like anything else.
Not very good.

375ml bottle at Josh's. Pours a hazy copper with a whitehead. Aroma is not very pleasant with humid cellar and dark fruits notes. Taste is similar, a bit dry. It's ok.
