Description
Crafting mixed culture ale in the beautiful Pacific Northwest
Founded by partners in life and work, Charles Porter and Brenda Crow, Little Beast is a family brewery with a passion for making great beer and sharing it with others.

We craft wild, wood-aged and blended beer naturally with diverse cultures, including Saccharomyces, Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus, and wild flora. By harnessing the little beasts that ferment our beer, we capture their untamed beauty and produce farmhouse beers that are diverse in flavor and rare in character.

Admin Note: Beer Garden/Tap Room in Portland, production in Clakamas, OR.

375 c&c from Hi-Time. Pours dark, translucent gold with a large foamy white head. Aroma seems a mix of Brett and oak wood. Med body or so. Flavor is Brett, sour pale stone fruit and mildly musty oak. Just a bit astringent. Really drys out my mouth. Pretty good flavor! Pleasantly funky.

Can. Pours a near clear dull gold with a white head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma is straw and hay forward with a bit of cereal and just touch of wet grass underlying. Flavor also has lots of straw and hay with a bit of earthy grass and a bit of sweetness.

16 oz. Aroma is vaguely malty, lemony, SweeTarts, lemon-lime soda. Pours crystal clear pale golden with a one+ finger bone-white soapy head with great retention. Taste is moderately bitter with a touch of malt sweetness. The hop bitterness is more akin to a pils. Very good for a pale lager.

375 c&c from Corti Bros. Pours dark, ruddy, translucent with a fizzy tan transient head. Sour cherry aroma. Med body at least. Flavor is sourish cooking cherry with somewhat musty wood and darkish malt. Rather close to Flanderian red sour ale. Cherries are quite persistent. Tasty. Dry. Fruity. Good stuff.

375 c&c from Berkeley Bowl West. Pours with a loud pop - translucent gold and a transient white head. Lightly oak/tart with white grape for aroma. Near med body. Flavor is oak/tart, white grape and some very nice notes resembling Brett - but not Brett. Exquisite. Delicious.

Can from Berkeley Bowl West. Pours clear bright gold with a nice white head. Aroma suggests peach and pineapple. Med body or nearly. Flavor is tart sour with some pineapple acidity and pale stone fruits. This is a very, very approachable sour. Dry. Bitter. Refreshing. Good.
