Description
Crafting mixed culture ale in the beautiful Pacific Northwest
Founded by partners in life and work, Charles Porter and Brenda Crow, Little Beast is a family brewery with a passion for making great beer and sharing it with others.
We craft wild, wood-aged and blended beer naturally with diverse cultures, including Saccharomyces, Brettanomyces, Lactobacillus, and wild flora. By harnessing the little beasts that ferment our beer, we capture their untamed beauty and produce farmhouse beers that are diverse in flavor and rare in character.
Admin Note: Beer Garden/Tap Room in Portland, production in Clakamas, OR.

375mL bottle, pours a cloudy amber orange with a small white head. Aroma is complex, with lots of wild yeast, strawberries, and wooden oak. Flavour is woody, wild and fruity, with lots of tart, fresh strawberries upfront, followed by wood and wild yeast. Nicely balanced, with a nice finish of wild yeast and wood. Very good.

This one hit the spot. Thanks douglas88! Enjoyed during OT of Celtics Wizards game after the super bowl loss I’d like to thanks the Celtics and Bruins for playing well sulking the pain. Anyways...pours a muddled peach pink. Wonderful nose of fresh strawberries and wood. Tastes of strawberry so fresh and not artificial, oak, vino, cherry, lemongrass. Decently tart. Tannic. Very good.

On tap at Belmont Station, Portland, Oregon. Has a hazy dark straw colour with a small off-white head. Slightly sour aroma of forest floor, rowanberries, grass, lemon and barn yard. The flavour is similar with more spices, white bread and iron. Has a slick and a little soft mouth feel, medium body and a light bitterness. A great and well-balanced saison with a nice sour touch.

Bottle at share. Light golden, small skin of head. Aroma is yeasty. Light, and grassy. Taste adds a bit of edge, some sharpness to the finish. A bit of a savory snap at the end.
