A typical lager. Average, no particular aroma or taste (in my case that was good because I was eating sushi at the time :) ). Average in every spect

Bottled as Sapporo Premium lager 4,7%. Pale yellow colour, small bubbly head. Maize and hayish malt flavour. Also hints of cooked vegetables. Malty and hayish but turns into bizarre unpleasant sweetness in finish.

(Bottle 33 cl) Irish version brewed by Guinness Ireland Group as "Sapporo Premium Lager" at 4,7% ABV. Quite neat, full golden colour. Decent head. Very unspectacular lager with only a hint of hops. 010403

Near black - dark brown highlights. Thin, coffee aroma with metallic undertones. Palate has dark chocolate, some malty sweetness and cappucino notes. If it’s too cold, the sweetness will be most expressive but the coffee/chocolate comes more to the fore as it warms. Body is a little thin and fizzy but again feels a little thicker as it warms a bit and the carbo burns itself out. That said, the malts are a little weak overall. The finish is liquoricey, with hints of chocolate.

Re-rate: A re-rate is better, with a fuller flavour and bigger body. Upgrade from 2.9 to 3.4

A dark yellow beer with a light white head. The aroma is sweet hoppy while the flavor is sweet with strong notes of rice.

I suppose I have had this beer. However, my bottle is called premium lager (or something like: サシポロビール), and more to the point, expressly says 4.7 ABV. Clear gold beer with huge, fine & dense, just yellow-tinted white head. Unpasteurised, raw milk aroma, going over in grain & chaff. Rather bitterish, hoppy, herb taste; tad metallic, pale malts, and very slight sweetness, cornlike, without the bitterness going away. Warming up, the bitterness becomes more and more metallic and less agreable. Light, not watery, certain slickness. Not my beer. But "bad" is too negative a comment.

This one poured a nice yellow with a really nice white head. Although the scent of it smelled like the can...Metallic! Very boring as far as the scents went, typical white bread beer smell. First taste was very smooth with minimal carbonation. Although watery. Finish was typical and the palate was slightly bitter. Not too bad but I probably won’t be bothered with another.

A golden beer with an OK, but disappearing white head. The aroma is malty sweet and so is the flavor, that also contains an OK hoppy bitter end.

Sapporo Premium Beer, 4.9%, big 650ml can. Not a bad lager, but pretty unimpresive, looks fine, it’s golden coloured, with an unimpressive head, but some nice lacing (it seems quite carbonated). The tasteis pretty much the regular lager one, with nothing special about it, it’s maybe a bit lemony. Thanks to a friend who brought it from Canada (brewed by Sleeman there). 4/3/5/2/9
