Dégustée et commentée en Mai 2010. De couleur brune rougeâtre, elle laisse une mousse d’épaisseur moyenne assez persistante. Rien de bien particulier au nez. En bouche le malt est présent avec des accents de mélasse. Douce, sans amertume. Se boit bien.

Bottle: Poured a deep golden color ale with a medium foamy head with light retention. Aroma of Rooibos tea is quite dominant with light unrefined grainy notes also perceptible. Taste is a weird mix between the some unrefined wheat malt notes and some Rooibos tea with a light astringent finish. Body is light with good carbonation. This mix between tea and beer is not the easiest to put together and I must admit that this si not a case were the experiment was successful.

Strange, but not bad. Pours pitch black with mocha head and lacing. Aroma of anise, some roast malt and some booze. Finishes with that note of bitter absinthe herb. Thick consistency. Tap at Gainsbourg.

Des notes de banane, de gomme baloune et de bonbon en olfactif. des accents typiquement Belges de levure. Le visuel nous présente une blonde légèrement trouble, de mousse moyennement épaisse, de bonne densité, crémeuse, et à durée moyenne. Au goût: Légère acidité en attaque avec une bonne effervescence. Elle développe des notes de banane surtout. Il y manque par contre les autres saveurs habituelles d’une blanche Belge et elle contient peu d’’épices. Un petit arrière gout terreux et sec s’y développe également.En bouche, sa texture est mince mais présente une bonne effervescence. J’ai quand même bu de meilleures blanches que ça.

6%. A hazed blonde wit with a thin white head. In aroma, classic banana and cloves, with light curacao , and berries. In mouth, a smooth sweet banana malt with cloves, curacao, coriander, and light powdery body. On tap at Oktoberfest des Québecois 2013.

After reviewing their vanilla and coffee version, I decided to do this one, as I found the other to be pretty much cocoa and vanilla. Did not find much coffee. This one looks just like the other (dark brown, mocha head) but this one has way more lacing. Chocolate malt aromas with what seems to be some vanilla (which was in the other). The taste is roasted and chocolate malts with again, some mild bitterness from the hop, in the finish. Everything seems a little lighter than the other version. Also seems like they had the labels on the wrong bottles. Still, pretty good stouts for both.

First of the two stouts they make (this one coffee and vanilla). Pours a dark brown colour with a mocha beige head, good retention and a ring of lace. Big cocoa nose (which is suppose to be the other brew). After breathing, the vanilla comes out. Eventually, hop also joins the crew. It is pretty much the same for the flavours. I do not see much coffee in here, but mostly chocolate and roasted malts with the vanilla. Decent hops in the finish giving a certain dryness. Good, but not sure about the title (coffee ?).

Enjoyed at the Bistro L’Autre Oeil in Aylmer, QC. Pours a golden colour with a great white head that lasts a very long time with decent lacing. Nice fruity malt aromas with some grain in the background. The taste is milder with the fruity malts and a little bitterness in the finish. A nice fruity malt beer that goes down nicely like my go-to Boréale beers. Gets hoppier as it goes. A better pale session beer than macros. I really enjoyed this one.

Enjoyed at Bistro L’Autre Oeil in Aylmer, QC. Pours a hazy amber colour with a red hue. The head and lacing are decent. Aromas of sweet cranberry candy with a little grain and other fruits. Medium-bodied, plain wet. The taste is not as sweet as the nose. Mild cranberries with fruity malts. A little sourness in the finish and a bit of grain lingers. Not bad, but really enjoyed their orange version as an original fruit summer brew.
