A little trashy. Pours brown with ok head and not much lace. Taste kind of bad, like mixed malt with some attempted roast that didn’t turn out right. Taste is basically sour but light and impotent overall. Bottle slanged walking down the street between bars.

A pinkish ale with a thin white head. In aroma, smooth raspberry pulp, like pop. In mouth, a strange mix of berry and fish like quality, watery. On tap at Festibière de Gatineau, May 24, 2013.

Single from Marché Omni. Pours a light golden colour with a foamy white head that sticks around and gives out soapy lace. Aromas of cereal malts at first, but after breathing a little bit, becomes sweeter, with fruit notes and some light grassy hops. Plain wet mouthfeel. The taste is a little too light, with some mild sweetness and rusty water from the hop. Some fruitiness, but lacking the grain I am use to for a Kölsch. Or maybe the others are wrong. No matter what, this one quenches your thirst like the description says.

Earlier Rating: 3/2/2012 Total Score: 2.9 A dark reddish brown faro with a thin off white head. In aroma, a very sweet candy sugar with weird woody and lactic notes. In mouth, a sweet cherry pop with light lactic points, very sweet and cloying. On tap at Montreal Winter Warm, Feb. 25 2012.

Pours a hazy golden colour with a slight pink hue to it. Decent warm cap with average retention and some foamy lace. Interesting nose with some grain cereals, but with flowers adding light perfume. Medium-light bodied with a little creaminess at first, but finishes dull. The taste is interesting as well. A different type of fruit-like flavour, kind of exotic. Always nice to try something different, but in this case, I am glad I did not have to buy a 6-pack of these.

2013 edition (10% ABV.) and comes in a small box to fit one 341ml bottle. Pours a dark brown colour with a foamy mocha cap that fizzes away slowly and leaves minimal lace. Roasted malt nose with dark fruit, caramel and hints of coffee. No burning, not even warming for the mouthfeel. Does not even feel like a light beer (as in alcohol content). Taste of burnt malts, candied fruits and some hop in the finish (which I do not feel balances things well). Still, not bad for such a strong beer that does not feel like it. Prefer their Ghosttown Stout and Black Watch Scottish Ale.

A faintly hazed amber ale with rosé hues, and a thin off white head. In aroma, nice raspberry jam reminiscent of commercial sweet Frambozen, actually not bad. In mouth, a nice smooth malt with acidic raspberries, as if the beer developped sourness in 2 years, melding well with the sweet fruits. Surprising.

Pours a dark copper colour with a thick frothy beige head. Retention is great and lacing covers the glass. Starts off with a fresh coffee scent and added is butterscotch and some light fruits (dates, plums, apples). Slick mouthfeel with a medium-light body. Taste of roasted malts, giving the coffee notes, with mild caramel and hints of hops in the short finish. Not sure what style this beer "really" is, but I kind of like it.

Bouteille 341ml.
