Cloudy blond to light orange beer, big rocky off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of varnyard, yeast, little flowery, grains, spices. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: little sour start, yeasty barnyard, soem grains, citrus, bit flowery, some urine-like flavours, but not really that bad. Aftertaste: citrus, barnyard, floral bitterness, yeast.

Bouteille 500ml.

Bottle: Poured a cloudy dark brown color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of light candi sugar with some light caramelized malt and some fruity notes which doesn’t make for atypical scotch ale. Taste is also an interesting mix between some candi sugar notes with traces of fresh fruits and some caramelized notes. Body is above average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Well brewed though not totally close to style guideline which ain’t necessarily a bad thing.

Bottle: Poured a hazy orangey color ale with a super large foamy head with great retention and some very good lacing. Aroma of Brett and dry hops notes with light funky ester is quite wonderful. Taste is also a exquisite mix between some Brett notes with light barnyard notes which are well balance with some dry floral hoppy notes. Malt is semi-sweet and doesn’t take away too much form the wonderful aroma of hops and Brett but act as a solid backbone. Another wonderful treat from Boquebiere.

A dark clear brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a sweet mineral malt with light boiled veggies and maple. In mouth, a nice sweet burned caramel with amber maple syrup, woody, a bit off. On tap at Montreal Winter Warm, Feb. 25 2012.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma consists of sweet malt base with light notes of spruces and spices. Taste is also a unique mix of some solid semi-sweet malt with a Belgian touch and also some spruce notes which becomes more and more pronounced as the beer warms up to room temperature. Body is full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. A pretty unique take on the spruce beer style which while being interesting doesn’t necessarily wants me to drink this one regular basis.

Bottle: Poured a deep orangey amber color ale with a nice huge foamy had with excellent retention and some very good lacing. Aroma of floral citrus hoppy notes are quiet pleasant. Taste is a nice mix between some semi-sweet malt base which are well balanced against some floral citrus notes and a bitter finish. Body is quite with limited filtration and good bottle conditioning and great carbonation. Nicely done and other winner from this brewery who just keep doing a good impression on me.

Bottle: Poured a bright cloudy amber color ale with a very large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of green hops and residual sugar are well combined. Taste is a mix of sweet caramel malt with light toffee notes which are more then offset by loads of green hops notes. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Can’t say there is any brewing flaw and this is even quite enjoyable but I am more of English style barleywine kinda of guy and don’t feel like the hop punch brings any additional compelxity.
