16oz can from Alesmith. Nose is coffee forward with some cocoa, vanilla, bourbon, coconut, and a biscuity note. Black and syrupy with a tiny cinnamon tan head. Flavor is lightly sweet but way less than most pastry type stouts.

16oz can from Alesmith. Nose is toffee, rum, vanilla, and a hint of clove. Lightly hazy rusty-brown with a large tan head. Flavor has only light sweetness with some light tobacco notes I assume from the wood.

Can. Delicious plus coffee. A bit heavy on the caramel. Roasted malts, dark chocolate, some coconut and generic nuttyness. Delicious indeed, although a bit sweet. 848416 251231

Can from Beer Republic. Cloudy black, stable, foamy, beige head. Aroma of marzipan, maraschino cherry, cough drops, pralines (Mon Chéri), strawberry ice cream, panna cotta, red candy. Taste has sweet cherry, strawberry and raspberry candy in an almondy, marzipan-like and chocolatey malt body; gentle sourishness leading the way towards the softly tart & earthy hoppy finish, where a chocolate powder effect but mostly red fruit candy notes linger. Alcohol remains hidden. Medium to full body, oily-sticky texture, soft carbonation. Too little roastiness here and in the end, a bit too artifical too. Too bad!
