(Bottle 65 cl) Pours pale amber with a slight haze and a rough, white head with a splendid retention. Lovely, lightly citrusy nose. Medium body with a vague caramelish sweetness. Dry, hoppy and very aromatic finish. 240206

Bottle (courtesy of Hogtownharry): Poured a light yellow color ale with a medium bubbly white head with average retention. Aroma of hops if mostly floral with small touch of ester, which was slightly displeasing. Taste is quite refreshing with a strong hops presence. Lighter body then expected but I didn’t mind because APA is a style that doesn’t necessarily gain from full body.

Draught at Concordia, Portland. Lightly hazy golden, rich creamy head. Spicy almond aroma. Medium sweet with rounded mouthfeel. Herbal spices and hay are there, as is a typical Belgian yeast character. A well balanced ale of very high quality.

Cask at O’Brien’s, San Diego. Clear dark reddish brown. Raisiny, near portlike and very sweet with some cherry tones. Very liqueur-like with notes of orange and curacao. A massive onslaught of flavours, but finishes disappointingly dusty and alcoholic.

A straightforward, hoppy beer. Medium body and very drinkable. Great for a pale ale but doesn’t stand up to its ipa brother.

What a great ipa. It has the perfect balance of bitter, herbal hops and light fruit aromas an flavors. Some orange and grapefruit in the aroma.

Sweet and full bodied. Some hops in the aroma as well as alcohol and raisins, flavor is mostly malt and alcohol, but there is dried fruit as well.

bottle - Pours a bit cloudy with a moderate, long lasting head. Nice hop aroma, surprisingly sweet taste with a bit of citrus and hops. Light and finely carbonated with a mild hops finish, it would indeed make an excellent session beer. I will echo the only complaint of some other raters, I could do with a little more hops, but this is a good beer.
