Draft at Torst, Brooklyn. Pours near black with a dark beige head. Aroma of roast, dark chocolate, caramel, and light coffee. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

On tap at Mugs Alehouse, Brooklyn NY on 3rd July 2013. Almost clear amber with white ring and film top/part lacing. Rich and intense hoppiness. Intensely bitter grassy hop in-mouth. Solidly hoppy bitter finish - very bitter in rear of mouth and tangy in front. Light mouthfeel and medium body.

Draught @ The Ginger Man, NYC. Pours slightly hazy ruby with airy but stable beige head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit with a note of caramel. Heavy and boozy flavour with clear notes of malt, caramel and hops. Warming alcohol presence. Nice.

Draught @ Rattle & Hum, NYC. Poursclear golden with small white head. Clear aroma of flowers and hops. Grainy flavour with sparse hoppy touches. Grainy finish. Nothing special, to put it mildly.

Draft. Pours reddish amber. Nose and taste of grain, malt, dry barley and touch of toffee and red fruits. Medium body.

Basically no head. Aroma is sweet fruity, wine gum, red wine, grass, butterscotch, cardboard. Taste is fruity, still very dry, red fruits, oak, cardboard, grass, red wine, hay. Longlasting bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Not for me!

Tutu’s, Bushwick tap: Pours copper with a white head. Aroma is soapy, honey, citrus, artificial candy. Taste is not much better. I think that the orange blossom honey adds a kind of weird taste to this. Everyone in my group who tried this was very unimpressed by it.

Tap at the Ginger Man, NYC, thanks to jt for the pour, 18/05/13. Clear golden with a thin off white head. Nose is soured fruits, straw, light funk, farmy notes. Taste comprises dark soured fruits, sugars, lemon rind, straw, light spice, farmyard. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Ok saison no world beater in its field though!

Tap at the Ginger Man, NYC, 18/05/13. Thanks to James for the pour. Clear light golden with a thin off white head. Nose is grass, honey, light malt notes, bread, sugars. Taste comprises cereals, grass, citrus notes, toasted malt, bread dough. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Inoffensive but nothing I’d head back to.

From tap at the Blind Tiger. Pours clear and golden orange with a small off white head. Aroma is toasted malty and caramelish. Roasted malty, caramelish and light breadish. Bitterand roasted malty finish.
