(On tap) Clear pale Amber with tiny head. Aroma is pine with citrus and very subtle toffee notes. Medium body with slight pleasant stickiness and plenty of soft mouthfilling carbonation. Great taste. Backbone of sweet toffee malt provides definite balancing sweetness without being intrusive. Pine and citrus notes overlay this in the start. Pleasant hoppy bitterness in the finish. That high ABV is well hidden - barely apparent in the finish hiding amongst the hoppy bitterness. Great beer (and I think my 1500th RB review).

500ml bottle. Pours bright orange with a huge head that's retained well. Peaches, apricot, golden syrup, little herbal, perhaps even a touch metallic in the finish. Very short lived. Not a classic by Epic standards.

Bottle 0.5l. Almost black colour. Beige long head with good lacing. Aroma is rich of notes like dark fruits, chocolate, cherry in chocolate, roast, the oxidation notes ares much noticeable and very nice. Beer is dry at the beginning with chocolate, coffee notes, medium, roast bitterness and delicate fruity-sweet finish and also subtle sour in aftertatse. Medium to full body, a little bit sticky in the mouth, smooth, soft carbonated. Nice RIS with quite big influence of dark fruits and vintage notes.

On tap at Uptown Freehouse. Pours very pale, lager like, with a bit of a problem with head retention, i.e. there's none. Pine, grapefruit, guava, lychee, little pepper, some bubblegum in the finish. Medium body. I'm sold on the trial hop, less so on the new malt.
