Bottle. Clear amber/copper liquid with medium off-white head. Aroma of flowers, tangerine, citrus, pine and earth. Taste is light sweet and light to medium bitter with notes of flowers, tangerine and mango. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Smells great but the taste is too sweet and not bitter enough for an IPA.

500ml bottle. Golden-orange amber colour, foam off-white head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of caramel, tropical fruits, mango, melons, hop resin, pine. Taste is malt caramel with tangy floral citrus, orange, grapefruit, and pine resin woody hop bitterness. Slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, warming dry bitter finish. Very drinkable IPA.

500ml bottle at Bishops Arms in Växjö. Deep amber coloured body. Off-white head, poor lacing. Malt-fruity nose. Well blended flavours of caramel malts and citrus fruits added by mild spices. Dry and smooth finish with a nice bittersweet twist. Pleasant and food friendly. 25.06.2013.

Bottle from Monument in Concord, CA. Pours very dark brown/black with a cascading dark tan foamy head - like on nitro! Aromas of strong treacle, licorice, coffee. Med body or better. Flavor is like aroma, but it’s not so sweet as expected, and it has very perceptible hops. Although it’s sweet, there’s enough hop to fairly balance it. Quite a strongly flavored ale. Rather mouth smacking.

From a 500ml on 16/6/2013. Pours a clear deep orange with a smallish head. Has a lovely fruity floral, hoppy aroma featuring with some spices and lots of bergamot. Flavour wise, its fruity (including more bergamot) and spicy, with a firm bit not overwhelming hop bitterness. Has a medium body and carbonation. Really quite subtle by I PA standards but very classy and enjoyable, as is typical of Epic.
