Bottle from Resdstone. Pours a crystal clear orange amber color with a decent sized off white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Aromas mostly of nutmeg and cinnamon with a little bit of brown sugar. The flavor is sweet with a bready brown sugary maltiness. Cinnamon and nutmeg provide the only counter to the sweetness and the malt is winning. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet spiced mouthfeel. Decent enough pumpkin beer, I couldn’t drink much of this, but its better than most.

Bottle courtesy of AirForceHops. Honey smoked ham aroma. Hazy yellow gold with a moderate white head. Smoky hardwood and biscuity malt flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation. Very nice representation of a Bamberg smoked beer.

Pours clear gold into a Sam glass. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes leaving scant lacing to coat surface. Grass, resin and hay aromas. Sweet caramel and resin upfront turning soft in the lasting warm dough and resin finish.

The Last Tasting at Bruce’s palatial pad. Thanks to Leighton for this one. Opaque dark brown beer with a tidy pale tan head. Palate starts smooth, turns slightly crisp. Fresh tasting mellow dark malts. Nice touch of mellow barrelling and light fruity bourbon. Whisper of dark chocolate. Light minerally finish. Super mellow and drinkable.

Bottle split at Bruce’s pad, big thanks to Leighton for sourcing, 19/09/13. Very dark mahogony brown with a thin off white head that dissipates edgeward. Nose is chocolate, roast malt, toffee, bourbon is well evident. Taste comprises sweet toffee, chocolate, brown sugars, subtle bourbon notes, light peppery spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, smooth on the palate. Great drop, the alcohol is well integrated making for an easy drinking affair.

Bottle at Bruce’s, thanks to Leighton. It pours dark brown with a tiny bubbly off-white head. The nose is soft roast, toast, cocoa, caramel, coconut, wood and sweet vanilla. The taste is roasted malt, toast, ash, liquorice, decent bitterness, caramel, burnt notes, spice, meatiness, chocolate, vanilla, toasted coconut and light alcohol (but not that of 10%!) with a dry, roasty finish. Well hidden-alcohol. Nice bitter-sweet aspect. Rather delicious!

Bottle at Bruce’s - London. Thanks to Laura for this one! Pours clear, deep brown with a slight, creamy tan head. Nose has some charred wood, subtle roast, cocoa. Medium sweet flavor, nice milk chocolate, sturdy roast, slight earthy bitterness, a bit of alcohol kick, mild dry wood, hints of vanilla. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming to finish with vinous, dry woodiness, dry cocoa, some barrel, dirt, hints of toffee, some burnt toast. Very nice beer.

Nice little beer. Pours orange without much head but great lacing. Malty and Hoppy with some booze and caramel. Light bitter finish with more booze. Average carbonation. On tap at prohibition pig.

Pours bright gold into a stein. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Bready caramel aromas. Soft and well-balanced with cracker and caramel upfront turning dry in the mildly hoppy earth and hay finish.
