Flasche (50 cl) von Hopfen & Malz, Berlin. - Dunkelorange, trüb; reichlich cremefarbener Schaum. - In der Nase mild hefig und malzsüß mit Anklängen von Fruchtkompott. - Antrunk karamelmalzig, hefig, mit etwas unpassenden Fruchtnoten, die an trüben Apfelsaft erinnern. Mild rezent; volles, leicht „kreidiges“ Mundgefühl. Im Abgang zu milder, etwas dumpfer Hopfen. Matt bitterer Nachtrunk. - Nettes Zwickel in Exportbierstärke, süffig und rund, mit deutlichen Aromaadefiziten beim Hopfen. „Gebraut nach alten Originalrezept“ ist natürlich Humbug - die Brauerei wird ja wohl nicht ernsthaft Zutaten und Brauprozeß von vor 130 Jahren wiederbelebt haben ...

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy, minimally strawy aroma, grassy hoppy overtones. Taste is minimally grainy, pale malty, grassy hoppy overtones. OK.

500ml bottle. Clear golden colour with average to huge, thick, frothy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Sweetish grainy and pale malty aroma, minimally doughy, minimally spicy yeasty, a very cautious herbal touch. Taste is minimally sweet pale malty, some malt spiciness, a floral herbal teach, hints of yeast spiciness. Well balanced, superb drinkability, not as boring as the standard Dortmunder bulk.

500ml bottle. Cloudy amber colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Floral hoppy aroma, subtle, unspecific fruitiness, hints of (yeast dough) apple pie. Taste is moderately sweet malty, slightly unspecific fruity, apple at most, some fruit acid, maybe in unfiltered apple juice direction, apple pie character overall; slightly floral hoppy finish. Untypical Märzen with nice Zwickel touch - "hübsch".

500ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, amber colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Bready, slightly muggy, bready-yeasty aroma, a tart-ish touch. Taste is bready with a nuttily touch, subtle sweetness, some husk. Very nice, malt-accented taste.
