19th July 2017: cask at the CAMRA Shrewsbury Beer Festival. I assume the main hop is ’Equinox’. Anyway there is a slight citrusy leaning to this golden bodied beer, grainy base below the hoppy frontage. Light herbal flavours also. Liked it.

19th July 2017: cask at the CAMRA Shrewsbury Beer Festival. Black bodied, weak, thin, off-white head. Roasted and toasted malts in the nose, light citrusy esters also. Taste dropped the citrus aromas and led with the malts, which in turn gave a prolonged dry finish.

Cask @ Shrewsbury Beer Festival 2017. Pours black, small off-white head. Aroma of prominent dry roast, citrus. Taste presents a dry roast character with decent punctuating pine. Flavoursome cask Black IPA that has more going on than expected.

Half-pint in my local Wetherspoon’s on 9th June 2017. Golden pour, clear and bright: on top a smooth white head. Dank hops with a farmyard aroma fill the nose, taste is all about those dank hops and a growing bitterness in the brew.

Bottle, many thanks minutemat! Hazy orange color with fluffy white head. Aroma is bready-doughy malts, earthy hops, delicate juicy fruits. Taste is bready, grassy-earthy, some grapefruit and tropical fruits. Bitter finish. Soft mouthfeel. Nice, but would probably win if served from a cask.

330ml bottle. Pours a lightly misty amber, medium white head. Aroma of bubblegum, green apple. Taste is green apple, pumpkin.. hints of acetaldehyde. Very hard to detect the hop character beyond this, although there are some tropical leanings. Will have to re-rate.

Bottle from Tanners, Shrewsbury. Appearance - drank it oot the bottle so nae help here. Sorry. Nose - pine and grapefruit. Good. Taste - caramel and more pine or lavender. Light caramel. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - this is decent even if I didn’t get to look at it.

Cask @ Montgomery’s Tower, Shrewsbury, as ’Silver Chalice’. Pours clear gold, larger than expected white head for a cask beer. Standard golden ale, smooth, lightly hoppy, very light citrus. Pleasant enough.

Cask pint on 8th Dec 2015 in a Shrewsbury Wetherspoons pub. Golden and clear body, on top a snow white crown of foam. Hoppy brew with some Grapefruit like flavours within it’s citrusy make up. Decent, refreshing and easy to drink.
