Cask, hand-pulled half-pint on 6th Nov 2014 at the 24th Shrewsbury CAMRA Beer Festival. Poured a very pale gold with a white topping. Hoppy and dry taste, floral hop nose with mild citrus notes. Slight herbal spice bite in the flavour too. Decent and in good condition, I am enjoying these guys beers.

6th Nov 2014: hand-pulled half-pint at the 24th Shrewsbury CAMRA Beer Festival. Clear, light golden body with a thin but full white topping. Citrus lead in both the nose and taste, something I usually get annoyed with. However it seemed OK with this brew and I enjoyed the bite that it gave to the beer. Mild malt undertone to give some balance. Decent.

Hand-pulled half-pint in Montgomery Towers, a Wetherspoons in Shrewsbury on 27th Jan 2014. Dull old gold/amber in colour with a white wisp for a covering. Dark hedgerow fruit, wild berries sort of smell, add an apple that has been stewed in malty molasses for a week and you’ve just about got the true aroma. The taste isn’t as fruity as the nose indicated, the malts in take over without really giving the same intensity of fruitiness. The finish is actually quite dry and bitter. Different and most enjoyable.

Cask @ Shrewsbury Beer Festival 2013. If I’m not mistaken this was voted beer of the festival, but not in my eyes I’m afraid. Pours a golden amber with a fairly dull citrus. Not a terrible beer by any stretch but just a bit boring in light of what else was available here.

Hand-pulled pint in The St Georges Sports and Social Club on 22 Aug 2013 during a CAMRA Presentation evening. Slight haze to a golden bodied brew, good sized head of white foam. Dry and citrus in flavour, the pump clip mentioned grapefruit and there were hints of the said fruit within both the nose and taste. The hops dominated the whole pint: not unpleasant, but not great in my eyes.
