Cask days 2014. Hazy golden pour, with a medium white head. Incredibly juicy, citrusy, piney aroma. This is hop juice. The finish is light on the bitterness and lacks a bit of body, it’s light, but very refreshing. Loads of citrus zest, and pine resins. Grapefruit, and mandarin. Just a superb beer.

Pale yellow pour, big bubbly white head. Aroma of pale malts, wet grass, touches of citrus. Over the top carb, lively mouth feel. Finish is quite bitter and grassy, a little bit of yeast and citrus. The grapefruit zest or juice are nowhere to be found.

Bottle at the mondiale 2014. Another greate xample of the style that ive had this weekend. A superb balance between the thick, charred roasted malts, and the piney resinous hops. Great stuff!

Bomber from chez gibb in rouyn noranda. Clear golden pour with a huge white head. The best way to describe this is a perfect balance between a mid range german hefe and a citra hopped american pale ale. A true hybrid beer with the best of both worlds. Big grapefruit citrus hops, with banana and wheat, yeasty esters. Awesome stuff.

Brown pour, medium beige head. Very roasty, and toasty aroma, lots of nuttiness, and some caramels. It lacks the solky mouth feel i expect from an oatmeal stout, its actually kinda watery. Finish is again, very roasty, and there is a low to medium toasted nut, bitter finish. This is kinda like a stout, and very roasty brown ale hybrid.

Bomber courtesy of the Slovak Sniper. Hazy golden pour, with a huge frothy white head. Lovely citrus aroma, loads of grapefruit, and lemons, with some upfront white wine qualities. Soft mouth feel, soft carb. The finish is all citrus, and fresh cut grass, with minimal malts, This is by far the best IPA i have ever had from Quebec, and fresh this is world class.

Herbal aroma, flowery, honey, brown sugar, bready malts, and minerals. Carb is over the top and going crazy, mouth feel is nuts. Finish is very short and dry. Light bitterness, light fruits.

660ml bomber.
Hazy orange pour, huge billowing head....exploding out of my glass, and it wont stop. Toasty orange hop aroma, some light bubble gum, and wet paper. Carbonation is off the charts, i took a big gulp and it almost went out my nose, mouth feel is fine though, if anything a touch thick for the style. Finish is sweet, biscuity malts, slightly sweet pale malts. Pleasant orange hops round it out, nice.

From tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels. Aroma is very floral, grassy hops (typical Sauvin), peppery spicy yeast, fruity, a bit soapy. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied. Nice floral Saison, it certainly has a lot of character.

473 ml can, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 6.3%. Hazy golden to orange colour, moderate to small white head. Pleasant aroma of citrus and pine, a hint of mild spices. Plenty of citric and piney hops in the flavour too, on a sufficient background of sweetish malts. Bitter aftertaste.
