Keg at the Druids Arms in Stanton Drew before visiting the nearby stone circles. A really friendly pub this with lovely food and neolithic standing stones in the back garden (hence the name). Sadly this cider was pretty poor in comparison with the venue. It was a slightly dull gold with a middling fizz. Thin and watery was my main impression, with a waft of nail polish, a vague cheap apple juice flavour and a drying finish. Frankly it felt a tad industrial. Not good at all.

Bottle, small quickly dissapearing bubbly head, clear Deepish gold colour, aroma of cooked apple and a bit of vanila, flavor of cooked apples and a bit of dried apples, some vinous notes, and quite noticable alcoholic presence, light sweetness and a bit of sourness, quite heavy. Nice but not too interesting.

Can from Yamaya. Clear, very pale yellow with a fine, tall head. Sugary, somewhat fake aroma, apples, some skin. Sweet apple flavor, a bit sugary, simple. Light tartness, no bitterness to speak of. Ok, a touch of tannic bitterness in the finish saves it. Light and somewhat crisp. Almost cloying but not quite. Not terrible but one should be enough.

Can, fizzy head, clear pale straw yellow colour, flavor of apple and rubber, quite sweet cooked apples and candy flavour with a hint of spiciness and just a bit of sourness. Not really interesting but still nice and drinkable.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Clear golden, no head. Cooked vegetables and mashed apples. Sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with pears and sweet apples. Low bitterness.
